A few things on my mind this week... <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMqzQQZ1PKGjUQdhTnyyXqg6_rBE4eBINO5Gks3zIjf8uF51RE8m6MyVXgQHRKK4JbZ9WxP-_q07I5lVr945bR2IVGShm6h7K_8OHNy6FmXrb8hdHhkr2nU4_zi_ICEYwL2YU_SP5hjN9n/s1600/IMG_9866.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMqzQQZ1PKGjUQdhTnyyXqg6_rBE4eBINO5Gks3zIjf8uF51RE8m6MyVXgQHRKK4JbZ9WxP-_q07I5lVr945bR2IVGShm6h7K_8OHNy6FmXrb8hdHhkr2nU4_zi_ICEYwL2YU_SP5hjN9n/s1600/IMG_9866.JPG" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. What would it be like to unroll my own toilet paper & flush my own pee? I have so many helpers! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. What did I used to spend my money on before I bought dry shampoo? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Am I allowed to have a mini-fridge in my room, despite the fact that I'm no longer in college? I can't even tell you how many nights I wake up completely parched - get mama a cold one!<br />
4. Baylor asked me "what door does your baby come out of?" - Is this a trick question? What the eff do I say here? Is "go ask your dad" a suitable response? God knows what he'll say? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. Baylor <i>also</i> asked me why only mommies are allowed to say bad words. Because mommies are allowed to do <i>whatever</i> the hell we please, damnit!<br />
6. Winnie is really into talking like the big kids, and they've declared it <i>absolutely </i>hilarious that she'll repeat virtually anything they tell her to. Topping the list of popular words they ask her to repeat: poopy, booty and stinky. I've lost the battle, but not the war.<br />
7. How has nobody invented a pulley system to deliver snacks to the back row of the car? I'm virtually driving a bus these days, and have sent far too many snacks rouge to the trunk to keep at this pace. Here I come, Shark Tank.<br />
8. How many cans of La Croix in a day is too many? Also, can one survive on a steady diet of pita chips & hummus?<br />
9. Three people (NOT store employees) offered to help me to my car at Home Depot last week - do I really look like that much of a circus?<br />
10. Bellamy asked me "What happens when I disappear?" yesterday ... should I be concerned?<br />
<br />
Happy Friday - we're doing a garage sale & lemonade stand today ... <i>in the rain</i>. Pray for me.<br />

Working out when your pregnant can seem completely over-rated and counter-intuitive, but I can assure you, it's not! I'm on my 4th pregnancy (in 5 years!) and I can say unequivocally that things go smoother during pregnancy AND delivery when I have worked out throughout my pregnancy. Now let's be honest - I'm not a runner, I <i>loathe</i> cardio and to be completely honest, working out is not something I get a "high" from like other people I know (Collin is this way and I'll never understand). It takes motivation, it takes work, and it <i>will not </i>happen if you don't prioritize it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCBfMt2FpYQkc0CSltdhMc5E1Bg3LEVPo_Q2x4GRJ8OV9wIcqEQ2avXizkRaemESm-RnuJUtNZ8iOxQQ83tv2cyCQp1US4afKbfB9wnF8tt10SJR92nOzE-B_d7sIDrRh98CvxkQM52lGA/s1600/PREGGOWORKOUT_HENANDCO.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCBfMt2FpYQkc0CSltdhMc5E1Bg3LEVPo_Q2x4GRJ8OV9wIcqEQ2avXizkRaemESm-RnuJUtNZ8iOxQQ83tv2cyCQp1US4afKbfB9wnF8tt10SJR92nOzE-B_d7sIDrRh98CvxkQM52lGA/s1600/PREGGOWORKOUT_HENANDCO.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wanted to share with you what I do during pregnancy (and often times when not pregnant, but at a higher level) to keep strong, healthy & active. My goal when working out is not to lose weight or inches (obvi), but more so to build/keep muscle, to keep my core muscles engaged and strong and to not totally let go of myself. I should mention that I just finished at a doctor's appt this morning where I had gained 10 lbs in two weeks (thanks, Haagen Dazs), so again, this is not about weight ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4PoAParCp249wdpX-uw40rH-LF1fel7eC3NRJ3nzwEsqopUsM_YsrdQewB1YpbzBxdsZQADr5Rh7xD7I-qwwThdjcP9kxwKLyp12u7-72TxTrfzop1_PX_2eFFRWBCAgAQQVFU537MBzQ/s1600/vsco-photo-2.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4PoAParCp249wdpX-uw40rH-LF1fel7eC3NRJ3nzwEsqopUsM_YsrdQewB1YpbzBxdsZQADr5Rh7xD7I-qwwThdjcP9kxwKLyp12u7-72TxTrfzop1_PX_2eFFRWBCAgAQQVFU537MBzQ/s1600/vsco-photo-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have this set up in two rotations, so you can alternate each time you go to the gym - because work-out boredom is <i>real</i>. I try to work out 2-3 times a week - try mixing in a class (I do a group strength class that focuses on light weights, lots of reps, very little cardio, or sometimes will do a yoga class) or an online workout video (I love <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/FitnessBlender">FitnessBlender</a>!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
DAY ONE: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b> Cardio</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b> </b>10 minutes on an inverted treadmill</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Lifting<i> </i>(each is a superset*)<i> </i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Round One </i><br />
Upper - 3 sets of 10 dumbbell curls (I use two 10lb dumbells, but use whatever feels right for you) <br />
Lower - 3 sets of 10 squats (weights on shoulders, squat into heals) <br />
<br />
<i>Round Two</i><br />
Upper - 3 sets, 10 tricep pull downs (use the tricep pulley machine)<br />
Lower - 3 sets of 10 deadlifts <br />
<br />
<i>Round Three</i><br />
Abs - 3 sets of 20 ab crunches<br />
Upper - 3 sets of 10 chest presses (laying on bench)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Cool Down:</i><br />
Stretch </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
DAY TWO: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Cardio: </b><br />
10 minutes on the elliptical, bike, or stair master <br />
<br />
<b>Lifting (each is a superset): </b><br />
<i>Round One</i><br />
Upper - 3 sets of 10 dumbell shoulder press<br />
Lower - 3 sets of 10 lunges<br />
<br />
<i>Round Two</i><br />
Upper - 3 sets of 10 machine lat pull downs<br />
Lower - 3 sets of 10 machine leg extensions <br />
<br />
<i>Round Three</i><br />
Abs - 3 sets of 20 ab crunches on a bio ball<br />
Lower - 3 sets of 10 leg curls<br />
<br />
<i>Cool Down:</i><br />
Stretch </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>A few things to note: </b><br />
-Keep your weights on the lighter side - pregnancy is <i>not </i>the time to push yourself when it comes to lifting.<br />
-If you don't have a gym membership, most of these can be done at home with some simple weights - look up alternatives (on youtube or google!) to using the machines. <br />
*A superset is an alternating set - i.e. you alternate between each workout three times - so 10 curls, 10 squats and then back to curls, and then squats until you've done each three times. The beauty of supersets is that they make your workout quick and double as cardio, because they're not designed to stop in between.<br />
<br />
My hope is that this gives you some direction in your workout and keeps things short & simple - because nobody hates a long workout as much as I do ;) </div>

Happy Friday! It's Friday AND Donut Day, which probably means the stars aligned and it's going to start raining sprinkles tonight. How could it not? We spent the morning at Home Depot stocking up on flowers, bark &
rocks and although my attempt at planting before nap time was somewhat
futile (thanks to some hungry toddlers & missing shovels...), I have
big plans for Collin when he gets home from work! ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ_aILW5VCHro3WkHR1mktnyRCzHlC0xtFsWuMJPl1j5QJYSDw_96vv261o8H2IzIqb5llLVW3Fe_aoTYPpNkIJqOe9YKFf9rUbOVcNKGISUAJtfzhM-vcP3zwJun0EW3aR7hR9YH8-kuA/s1600/vsco-photo-1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ_aILW5VCHro3WkHR1mktnyRCzHlC0xtFsWuMJPl1j5QJYSDw_96vv261o8H2IzIqb5llLVW3Fe_aoTYPpNkIJqOe9YKFf9rUbOVcNKGISUAJtfzhM-vcP3zwJun0EW3aR7hR9YH8-kuA/s1600/vsco-photo-1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>A few FRIDAY FAVORITES to round out your week! </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This <a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/NH6">candle</a> is my new favorite for the summer, but also pairs really well with the Volcano candles that we all know & love if you like a combination. Otherwise, it smells amazing on it's own and is <i>perfectly scented </i>for summer. Also, I found a really delicious grapefruit candle at Trader Joe's this week and *brace yourself* it's only $3.99!!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm finishing up a work-out post for you guys, but in the meantime, if you're tight on time or just clueless on what to do for a workout (we've all been there!), I'm loving <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/FitnessBlender">FitnessBlender</a> videos! The kids think it's hilarious to participate and it's a really good workout! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My sweet friend (& fellow preggo!) Molly (Beck & Belle) just launched her new <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/534392813/bow-snap-clip-toddler-snap-clip-glitter?ref=shop_home_active_1">bow snap clips </a>and they're a new favorite with the girls! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I mentioned on Insta-Stories awhile back that I was on the hunt for a good maternity one-piece, and I found <a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/NHb">one at ASOS</a> that fits the bill, but also ordered this (non-maternity) <a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/NHf">one from Anthro</a>, hoping I could squeeze myself into it. <i>Spoiler alert</i>: I couldn't, but it's too cute to return so I'm praying that it fits when I don't have a belly to cover! Fingers crossed ;) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lastly, the kids are all growing like weeds, and one thing I've found as Baylor grows out of toddler sizes (he's in a 6/7 now!) is that matching pjs are <i>much </i>harder to come by. <a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/NIv">Crewcuts has some adorable ones</a>, and they're on sale right now, so mama is stocking up! (also, <a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/NHu">these for the girls</a>, because you just can't pass them up!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We have lots of plans for the weekend, including, but not limited to a DAY DATE tomorrow (my favorite, because I'm <i>toast</i>
after 8pm), prepping for our garage sale & lemonade stand next
weekend, and doing a few projects around the house! The nursery is
coming along and I'm going to see if I can convince Collin to stop in at
IKEA on our date, because I've found every excuse in the book to not
take all three kids in while 32 weeks pregnant. Here's hoping! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Enjoy your weekend! </div>

The long weekend is officilaly over and we're still having a rough time transitioning back into a routine. BUT, the good news is, we're two days shy of Friday and the sun is shining! A little life lately for you: <br />
<br />
WHAT WE'RE EATING: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My current pregnancy craving is hummus & pita chips, but let's be honest, that's not all we're eating. Have you guys tried the Ben & Jerry's Pint slices? It's basically a horizontal slice of ben & jerry's coated in chocolate and it's pretty much what I live for at this very moment. We've also been barbequing a ton - a few things coming off the grill: barbecue ribs, dijon parmesan corn (grill corn until it's nice and blackened, once off the grill, coat with a 50/50 mix of whole grain dijon & mayo, and then top with parmesan cheese. Slide under the broiler for 1-2 minutes and you'll die & go to heaven upon first bite!), teriyaki steaks, asparagus and of course, lots of burgers & hot dogs! Also, s'mores. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjACiLrL40AarksnB5W3C91HofOBPJCDS1jDPjAciZOCbm_Tm7VKYw4O4nnDvTqsV7R7KOp67xGMHTm5ZnTLrZ1JrHJJSLYP4KHJoqg8ECi9pYd-H8g3TCEpiZ9du9Ru9il7OuukQqtqv41/s1600/IMG_0299.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjACiLrL40AarksnB5W3C91HofOBPJCDS1jDPjAciZOCbm_Tm7VKYw4O4nnDvTqsV7R7KOp67xGMHTm5ZnTLrZ1JrHJJSLYP4KHJoqg8ECi9pYd-H8g3TCEpiZ9du9Ru9il7OuukQqtqv41/s1600/IMG_0299.JPG" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Preschool is almost wrapped up for the year and I just can't belive how quickly it passed by. I was a nervous wreck to send my first baby off to school and it's so cool to see how much he's learned in grown in one short year! <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M LOVING:<br />
Our weather! We've been alternating between the pool, the sprinkler and the park for 2 weeks straight and we have no intention of stopping! I bought<a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/KLr"> this pool</a> from Target on our first sunny day (they <i>always</i> sell out) and it's seriously the best $30 I've ever spent. <br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbOn1qojqIq3P-6fgjxFaqjhcuzO35WGVBw393mgx35RWW9I8mnHb7VIHmXJ3tFWa5s-ecXaSLJAAOjNNKBr8_OsV2hrRcu-ZyYsltylEWGMjKWxl8mjKgkHkBLsKJpdFF4aPe2Boqm21A/s1600/IMG_0295.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbOn1qojqIq3P-6fgjxFaqjhcuzO35WGVBw393mgx35RWW9I8mnHb7VIHmXJ3tFWa5s-ecXaSLJAAOjNNKBr8_OsV2hrRcu-ZyYsltylEWGMjKWxl8mjKgkHkBLsKJpdFF4aPe2Boqm21A/s1600/IMG_0295.JPG" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO:<br />
Lots of time at the pool, a <i>ton</i> of doctors appointments (which means lots of time at Nana's!) and still lots of organizing. We went out of town for the weekend and while it's never easy, it was totally worth it. The kids had the best time ever watching Cougar Baseball and I ate my way through Pullman, which is always a treat. We also stayed at a fancy hotel in Spokane one night and Collin upgraded us to the penthouse suite, which was mind-blowing for the little people :)</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M DREADING: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Absolutely <i>nothing! </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
WHAT I'M WORKING ON: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cleaning, organizing, nesting & garage sale-ing. We have a huge community garage sale every year so we're stacking lots of stuff in the garage to sell. Every closet, drawer & cupboard in the house has been emptied & organized and I'm confidently taking spring cleaning straight into summer :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This BABY! The anticipation is growing and I'm starting to pick out going home outfits, hospital outfits, diaper bags and all the fun stuff that goes along with bringing a new baby home. High on my list is this <a href="https://fawndesign.com/collections/bags/products/fawn-design-stone-gray">diaper bag.</a><br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING:<br />
The best part about summer is how little the TV is on and how much we get to just be together & play! I haven't even started watching the Bachelorette, which is totally cray. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Collin did an amazing & inspiring <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-recovering-athlete-with-cletus-coffey/id1228060195?mt=2#episodeGuid=tag%3Asoundcloud%2C2010%3Atracks%2F324138267">podcast</a> a few weeks ago that I <i>loved </i>listening to, and otherwise, it's a lot of Zac Brown Band, Eric Church and whatever else goes with pool sittin', beer drinkin' (i wish!) and sun tannin'! ;) Also, lots of "the ice-cream man" jingle - that guy trolls our neighborhood like it's paying his mortgage!<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUaUhVumTjP6-D4aUQsgGXN4hIlQmREFPZDL7JhQ4gpHaNTssY2KIAVvZWt6J2F3b5lzaAczGhigMH_RztOmTUNz12UtBgGP2w-dEILRnkf6tb44K0dLmFTKXO6vb0K63TnQzt9gVWi13q/s1600/IMG_0300.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUaUhVumTjP6-D4aUQsgGXN4hIlQmREFPZDL7JhQ4gpHaNTssY2KIAVvZWt6J2F3b5lzaAczGhigMH_RztOmTUNz12UtBgGP2w-dEILRnkf6tb44K0dLmFTKXO6vb0K63TnQzt9gVWi13q/s1600/IMG_0300.JPG" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M WEARING: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Elastic is the new black. Seriously though, shorts (<a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/KNs">these</a> and <a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/KMI">these</a> - on sale!) are on repeat, along with this <a href="http://shopstyle.it/l/KNK">dress</a> (which Baylor told me I look "squished" in...) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
June is full of birthdays (Baylor will be FIVE!!) and end-of-school activities. Baylor has requested a John Deere party so I'm on the hunt for all the green & yellow. Send recs my way, please & thank you! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT ELSE IS NEW: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I closed my shop (for now at least!) and it's as glorious as I expected. I'm spending time building out some other exciting things and will re-open before the baby is born. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hope you're having an excellent week so far - this one is extra short which is always a treat! </div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I mentioned yesterday in my post that I've done next to <i>nothing</i> to prepare for baby #4, but I <i>have</i> been scouring online for gender neutral nursery inspiration and finally put my own together. We already have a handful of these pieces and I'm excited to start bringing it all together. The dresser &crib we're using are from Bellamy's original nursery, and I plan to swap out the drawer pulls for something less modern and more eclectic. I haven't decided if I'll do any sort of accent on the walls, but for now, the room is painted a really light dusty gray/blue color that shows up pretty neutral. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqp0bGSntBqjojaflvyZg-Fp4snQnmwiqZSgeCVlL3aXAUJLnzWtiBsO1MeVDRz0lRDByKPqASev5VuwQg-tpMjeNohEV17JKasarcBRlQ_8oiqrZjcokXGCuUvXY8B3X_1_E39iCq5yvj/s1600/NURSERYINSPO.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqp0bGSntBqjojaflvyZg-Fp4snQnmwiqZSgeCVlL3aXAUJLnzWtiBsO1MeVDRz0lRDByKPqASev5VuwQg-tpMjeNohEV17JKasarcBRlQ_8oiqrZjcokXGCuUvXY8B3X_1_E39iCq5yvj/s1600/NURSERYINSPO.jpg" /></a> I've done a couple other neutral nurseries for the first two kids, and love the challenge. I'll probably bring in a few gender-specific accents once baby arrives (all the neon pink!!), but I plan to keep most of the room as-is. This sign from Sugarboo is beautiful in person and a perfect piece to transition into the house once the baby outgrows his/her nursery. I plan on rolling up swaddle blankets and quilts in those stackable wooden bins and using the closet & dresser space for the not so pretty essentials. The only thing I haven't nailed down yet is a side table for the chair (we'll re-use Winnie's chair) and some sort of storage for the dresser/changing table to house diapers, wipes and every day essentials that need to be quickly accessed (Lord knows babies don't like to wait!). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I can't wait to share once we have this space completed - let's just pray it's <i>before</i> the little one arrives and not when they're one :) </div>

Happy Monday! I've officially hit 30 weeks and time feels like it's moving <i>just a little </i>too fast! I was frothing at the mouth when I was 30 weeks pregnant with Baylor - thinking time couldn't move any faster and that it would be physically impossible for me to wait 10 more weeks to hold my sweet baby! 4th time around is a <i>little</i> different, and I'm feeling like I have a years worth of work to cram into 10 weeks. The nursery is nowhere near complete, the thought of taking out all our gender neutral clothes is enough to send me straight to Target for 3 packs of onesies and call it a wardrobe, and the reality of getting the girls sleeping together is looking pretty slim. So I guess you could say things moving right along ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnBf-bLl1udD0KMGe8hvPuICWPNBABD6GC4OtJEhJYYAg30txXn5x88EjH72ub1_2CB1jichkGnuqRbDXiV1vxx0xCbeG1roV3tvE_RyDSTQUhHCam12VxrMNAIhANzQ_Ku0GcBO3Hm9WC/s1600/30weeks.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnBf-bLl1udD0KMGe8hvPuICWPNBABD6GC4OtJEhJYYAg30txXn5x88EjH72ub1_2CB1jichkGnuqRbDXiV1vxx0xCbeG1roV3tvE_RyDSTQUhHCam12VxrMNAIhANzQ_Ku0GcBO3Hm9WC/s1600/30weeks.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A few stats: 30 weeks | 35 lbs gained (more than full term with both girls!) | sleep only interrupted by toddlers with dragons under their beds | baylor wants a boy baby (because we already have girl babies) | bella wants a <i>new</i> baby | all winnie wants is to sleep in her own damn room | craving burgers, fries & milkshakes</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Baby is <i>super </i>low and moves most in the morning and evening (or that's when I stop moving enough to pay attention!) | We have finally settled on names and I can't decide if I love our boy or girl name more! Can't wait to find out what this baby is! | Passed my glucose test with flying colors - because I'm not sure how I'd survive without ice cream before bed. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We're headed out on a quick trip over the long weekend, and after that have no plans other than summer-ing the best we know how, preparing & nesting for our newest addition, and still organizing & labeling the hell out of every corner of this house. 10 weeks is going to <i>fly</i> by - I can not wait to see the kids with another sibling and to soak in ALL the newborn snuggles. </div>

Happy Monday! We spent Mother's Day weekend in the <i>sweetest</i> coastal town called Seabrook, just about 2 hours from where we live, and it was perfect in all the right ways! We rented a super cozy, coastal style home (<a href="http://www.seabrookcottagerentals.com/vacation-rental-home.asp?PageDataID=21371">Moon Dance</a> for those of you who are local) and were able to walk to literally <i>everything</i>. The kids had the best time exploring the beach, flying kites with nana<i>, </i>visiting the most adorable boutiques and of course getting their daily servings of ice cream & candy. Baylor had tears in his eyes when we left and said he'd like to <i>move</i> to Seabrook for 100 weeks. ;) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp8a28l2omo3jBEDkldeZ0EXW1wpinJuiyMYenq93wr-Y7d4z19Kq5LQ9RPdEfKefM-TLD5ylG5IKs6Q7D_beGyyzEw6-2jbV9Ua48uuqdZW3goTcdZnPMaD3sYYajnFeFqjbvhnLTgfQS/s1600/IMG_0288.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp8a28l2omo3jBEDkldeZ0EXW1wpinJuiyMYenq93wr-Y7d4z19Kq5LQ9RPdEfKefM-TLD5ylG5IKs6Q7D_beGyyzEw6-2jbV9Ua48uuqdZW3goTcdZnPMaD3sYYajnFeFqjbvhnLTgfQS/s1600/IMG_0288.JPG" /></a><br />
Every storefront & house in Seabrook is incredibly charming. Sweet Life was our most favorite - filled with vintage candy, cute little toys (we came home with some Maileg mice) and the most delicious local ice cream. <a If you're local to the Seattle area, you really <i>have to</i> take a weekend trip to Seabrook. I'm not normally one for Washington beaches (notoriously cold, windy & rocky), but this one is special!<br />
<br />
We're jumping back into our routine today, but can feel summer slowly creeping in around here. School is starting to wind down, we have sun (!!) in the forecast, and we're working on<i> </i>lots of projects before summer (& baby #4!) arrives! </div>

I use my iPhone to photograph virtually <i>everything</i> (this is one of my goals - to get better at using my "real" camera). It's always readily available, takes fairly decent photos and makes life overall very simple. I've fiddled with photo editing apps for as long as I can remember and have found my go-to editing strategy that I use with almost all my photos. It's easier than uploading & using photoshop, takes virtually no time at all and keeps all my photos looking unified. I'll share with you what I do, but keep in mind, what might work for me won't always work for you - I am by NO means an expert at iPhone photo editing ;) ! It's sort of a creative process so I encourage you to play with your photos to see what style you love best! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I always try to shoot in natural light, not direct sunlight and at a decent angle. No matter how much you look like Gisele, you'll have a double chin if you shoot too low. The beauty of an iPhone camera is you can take a million shots as quickly as you can delete them, so there's lots of opportunity for the perfect shot! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I use VSCO cam for all my photos, so if you don't have that, it's worth downloading! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Click on the "+" icon to add a photo to VSCO from your photo library. Once you've added the photo, it will show up in your gallery. Make sure it's selected (green border) - you can then begin to edit by clicking the slider icon on the bottom. </div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">From here, your filter options will show up. I <i>always</i> use F2 if I'm keeping my photo in color. It is a good starting point, and keeps things cohesive, even if I make other minor edits based on the quality of the photo. Once you've selected the filter, you can click the slider icon again and this will give you more refined options to edit your photo. If things are dark, you can edit the exposure or contrast. If the photo is crooked (90% of the time, because taking pictures of kids is a <i>zoo), </i>you can use x or y skew to even things out. I will almost always sharpen my photos as well as bump up the contrast & saturation just a little bit. This makes everything look bright & crisp. There's so many little way to change your photos, so play around a bit until you get the perfect combo. Once finished with each edit, click the check mark to save, and then hit save on the top right to save to your gallery. You can then click the 3 dots on the bottom right and save to your camera roll or share directly from the app. </span></td></tr>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">Here's some of my edit combinations that I've used! Every photo is a little bit different. If you want a black & white finish, I usually use B5- I like the high contrast, moody feel. </span></td></tr>

We spent one of our vacation days at Disneyland, and let me just say, it was <i>not </i>for the faint of heart. We've taken the kids to Disneyland every year for 3 years now, and it gets harder yet more exciting every time. Winnie is 18 months and an absolute rodeo. She wants to walk (hell to the no) and is an endless pit for snacks. The kid's favorite rides were It's A Small World, the monorail (eyeroll...), and of course, the Teacups. Our kids are little enough that rides weren't a <i>huge</i> priority so we strolled through a lot of the day taking in sights, watching parades and dodging sunburns :) Collin and I decided we'll skip Disney for the next couple years, with a fourth baby coming and the logistics of taking 4 kids under 5 to Disneyland ... just sounds a bit daunting ;) </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5 THINGS TO NOTE: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. We brought a change of clothes for the kids & were <i>so glad </i>we did... Disneyland is home to <i>all </i>the sticky things. It was nice to have something to change them into before dinner - they feel fresher and I feel like a respectable mother. ;) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. The Disneyland App was a <i>total</i> lifesaver. It's totally worth downloading before you visit - it showed wait times for rides, locations of characters and a schedule of shows & parades. We used it <i>all day</i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Go before they open! We ended up arriving late at Disneyland (my worst nightmare), and waited in line for the trams for a solid 45 minutes ... by the time we actually got into the park, the kids were already hot & irritable. Had we arrived earlier, I'm sure we would've missed some of that headache. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. We packed snacks & lunches for the kids, which was a total lifesaver. We didn't have to wait in line to eat anywhere, we could fill them with something other than total junk, and we could eat on the go, which kept them busy & content! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. Toon Town was our favorite - not only because it was age appropriate, but because they have a huge playhouse that the kids can run around in, it's air conditioned, and just seemed less busy than the other areas of the park. The food there was also more accessible & there weren't any lines - we got the kids soft serve cones and sat under an umbrella in the shade for a bit - it was the perfect spot! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div>
Overall, it was every bit as enchanting as it always is and our kids haven't stopped talking about it since we got home. </div>
</div>

We're back! We returned yesterday afternoon from a quick trip to California to get some much needed R&R and of course, a hefty dose of Vitamin D. We accomplished all of that & more! </div>

We stayed at Marriott's Newport Coast Villas, and I honestly can't rave enough about the experience. This hotel was the MOST kid friendly hotel we've ever stayed at - they had huge play areas indoor & outdoor for the kids (a put put course, a couple huge sand boxes, a game room, an arcade room, a movie theater and a kids play area with coloring tables, blocks, train tables, ect). The pools were amazing, and it was virtually paradise on every level. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV-2a9dkwNcAfUPftxYW9SKrvi_fodD_D9920UZHcMJnKHZqK0OhmS7_snHl32iRbPSMUSWK6JUNXU6zwxddWV8WxcMpb3hHREk79bJY0HDsk1ajnqAJsLxjifrnYYKb880qlRMRKzdj03/s1600/IMG_0233.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV-2a9dkwNcAfUPftxYW9SKrvi_fodD_D9920UZHcMJnKHZqK0OhmS7_snHl32iRbPSMUSWK6JUNXU6zwxddWV8WxcMpb3hHREk79bJY0HDsk1ajnqAJsLxjifrnYYKb880qlRMRKzdj03/s1600/IMG_0233.JPG" /></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
We spent a morning at Laguna Beach with the kids, and after a minor adjustment to the sand, the kids had the best time. I will just say though, I'm <i>much</i> more of a pool person. All that sand all over all the things stresses me OUT. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgramVsfn1X_4vVHt7HzwsoaMU-Ig7jx6UfHd7o7BOfxS1oV0G-4H6eu2NBJrYHlADDjsZoZo44ec4SU3aJP1Ims-XtYafmfT0qmOTC5t_H7kT1AqjgW1Np5-PLEqGgjkzWPh_aoBCp6gP5/s1600/IMG_0251.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgramVsfn1X_4vVHt7HzwsoaMU-Ig7jx6UfHd7o7BOfxS1oV0G-4H6eu2NBJrYHlADDjsZoZo44ec4SU3aJP1Ims-XtYafmfT0qmOTC5t_H7kT1AqjgW1Np5-PLEqGgjkzWPh_aoBCp6gP5/s1600/IMG_0251.JPG" /></a></div>

With the impending arrival of baby #4, we knew that a shared bedroom was in order for 2 of our 3 kids. I've been dreading this day for a very long time, as sleep is a premium around here and I go to great lengths to make sure my kids nap and sleep at night with excellence. Sleep is just one of my 'things'. SO, when it came time to decide who to combine, I considered everyone's personalities, as well as longevity of the arrangements and decided it would be best to put the girls together. All of our kids are under two years apart, with the oldest being 4, so there's not a ton of self-regulation over here ;) With that being said, I knew Baylor would go crazy if he had his toys mixed with Bellamy's (he's a classic first born with control & ocd traits) and the thought of having to put the two of them down together at night was enough to send me into a downward spiral. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Winnie is 18 months, and Bellamy is 3, and so far, we've anything but mastered the shared bedroom. Night one started out great, Winnie is an excellent sleeper and went down without a problem in her crib. We read books & did our bedtime routine with Bellamy in Baylor's bedroom (which was only a novelty for a couple nights and now a total shit show), and then instructed Bellamy to be <i>very quiet</i> in her room and close her eyes and go to sleep. (don't get out of your bed, don't talk, and don't turn the lights on, yada yada yada). She got out of her bed 15 times to get 27 different books, and once her bed looked like a library, she was ready to sleep. It took longer than normal (as I assumed it would), but I thought things were going to be fine! I was optimistic and self-admittedly <i>totally</i> naive. 11:00 rolls around, I'm an hour into my REM cycle ;) and I hear Bellamy <i>screaming</i> - I'm thinking throw-up, bloody nose, or she rolled out of bed. I run in to see what's going on (Collin's also home but somehow he always ends up with earplugs in before bed? ;), and Bellamy gathers herself between tears enough to explain to me that there's a stranger in her room sleeping in that crib and she's VERY SCARED. At this point, Winnie is also screaming, I'm still trying to decide if I'm dreaming or if this in fact, reality, and also thinking - WTF?! So, needless to say, total fail. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
BUT, on the upside, the room is adorable and we have a few months to work out the kinks before Winnie is evicted from the baby's crib in the nursery (that is more like a hot mess storage room at this point). I loved putting this room together - my goal was fun & playful yet sophisticated enough to grow through the baby & toddler years! Sources are at the bottom - I hope you love it as much as we do! </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZg6lW0w6EHlV_d3tVYYaPb2EsVbjL0i98Mo4FP-3MBW_nfhhFQJ2AsNRorTtFWP6jTpqFsWoKIN3sgxIcX6hyphenhyphen6e8G34caDupO-WkLfs12JWJjMmDxVwvchPNC6FZaXM-u9FDccN2YqTNN/s1600/vsco-photo-4.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZg6lW0w6EHlV_d3tVYYaPb2EsVbjL0i98Mo4FP-3MBW_nfhhFQJ2AsNRorTtFWP6jTpqFsWoKIN3sgxIcX6hyphenhyphen6e8G34caDupO-WkLfs12JWJjMmDxVwvchPNC6FZaXM-u9FDccN2YqTNN/s1600/vsco-photo-4.jpg" /></a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT WE'RE EATING: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well, apparently everything. I've gained just about the same amount of weight (35 lbs! for those of you who love details) so far in this pregnancy that I gained with both girls, full term. SO... not sure what that looks like for the next few months, but just know, I'm eating all the things. Current cravings are Haagen Dazs coffee toffee icee cream bars, and pistachios. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've started talking to Baylor about his 5th birthday party plans, and between that and our fourth baby coming very soon, it's bringing back so many memories of becoming a mama in the first place. It's amazing how quickly time passes, yet I remember so many tiny details. Those days were hands-down my most cherished time of my life thus far. <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M LOVING:<br />
TopShop Maternity clothes, the elastic waist trend, and all the fun summer clothes that have arrived for the kids. I always just bought these for the pool/lake this summer and can't wait to break them in! <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO:<br />
We did the spring fair last week, we've been gathering all the summer things for an upcoming vacation and doing every level of spring cleaning you can imagine. If you follow my instagram stories, you know what I mean. I recently bought a label maker and it's really been game on since then. Our pantry has never looked better, there isn't a stray hairband to be found around here, and we're going through cleaning supplies like it's our J.O.B. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiClBn8904aAj93GE5bd2O9hbs1szTiQdVEIUAGki0Q3UDtjOGYU4mEy4pXsdJoGYLIacLAU8_aJQeCKD7ttqKzABbN_edirhV7Vw4QIu9WFv93KCZsIcSjA05VICPKGM0uiaMD8HKoW_-N/s1600/vsco-photo-2-2.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiClBn8904aAj93GE5bd2O9hbs1szTiQdVEIUAGki0Q3UDtjOGYU4mEy4pXsdJoGYLIacLAU8_aJQeCKD7ttqKzABbN_edirhV7Vw4QIu9WFv93KCZsIcSjA05VICPKGM0uiaMD8HKoW_-N/s1600/vsco-photo-2-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M DREADING: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have my glucose test coming up & it's just the worst! I always opt for the lemon/lime flavor and dump it over ice before I chug it, but seriously, it's just gross. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M WORKING ON: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With a fourth baby on the way, there's lots of changes coming to my blog & shop, and some of them are already underway. I'll share more once we're a bit further along in the process, but in the mean time, I'm just excited about the changes to come! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrzwNasyzjeTUS-eq2LltO0tBk6DWHK8NMcoO2VukOXxqxfUCJ9Z8Jj09xZZBNM-2bDC9ZRqRbHYQ0Pr0Gx8qBUaXx7x8jqOJa-M1psWeUkCaV5NtcXc8csHFC7sdwCbklgdkdD7G71hyphenhyphenA/s1600/vsco-photo-1-2.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrzwNasyzjeTUS-eq2LltO0tBk6DWHK8NMcoO2VukOXxqxfUCJ9Z8Jj09xZZBNM-2bDC9ZRqRbHYQ0Pr0Gx8qBUaXx7x8jqOJa-M1psWeUkCaV5NtcXc8csHFC7sdwCbklgdkdD7G71hyphenhyphenA/s1600/vsco-photo-1-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
SUN! We're headed out of town very soon on a little family vacation and it can't get here quick enough. Pool, beach, no cooking and a little r&r are all high up on the agenda and I couldn't be happier! <br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING:<br />
<i>nothing. </i>I'm so pathetic! Aside from our nightly Jimmy Fallon, and a handful of blogs, it's pretty dark in terms of entertainment over here. Too many other things going on in real life! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Moana soundtrack. Burned into my brain. I'm starting to feel like the ocean is calling me. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M WEARING: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The new <a href="https://shop.lululemon.com/p/women-pants/Align-Pant-2/_/prod2020012?skuId=3687721&color=LW5LJFSLW5LJFS_0001&locale=en_US&sl=US&CAWELAID=120278590000042772&CID=Google:US12367_A165_A822_A004784&gclid=CNDTxtSEw9MCFUZqfgodHrQI2g">lululemon naked sensation legging</a>s (holy goodness these were made for people who hate pants), a lot of TopShop maternity, and let's be honest, my bathrobe. #wheninrome</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We're headed to the coast for a couple days (the perfect little seaside village of Seabrook!) and have a few other weekend getaways planned before we're homebound for the rest of the summer!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT ELSE IS NEW: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We got a new car! I traded in the minivan for a suburban - we had such a rough winter and I was homebound far too often due to snow. The kids think the best part is the two tv "screams" and I'm over here trying to get on SharkTank with the first suburban to offer sliding doors. My heart is passionate though my efforts are futile ;) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've tried ten thousand ways since Tuesday to become a pinterest-worthy "meal planner" ... and ... spoiler alert - I just can't do it. Here's the problem - I'm a "eat what I feel like" type of person - so if lasagna doesn't sound good, but it's on the "meal plan", not only am I irritable making it, but I usually don't eat it (even when the rest of the family does). I realize this makes me sound totally high maintenance, but to be honest, I'm the least "foodie" person there ever was. I feel the same way about packing in outfits for a trip (I pack all my favorite pieces and put on what feels good for that day), or even when planning my day (unless we make plans with other people, in which case I hold up my end of the bargain, even if/when I don't feel like it :) One other problem: I'm the person who always forgets ONE thing at the store. I mean seriously?! Am I the only one who does this?! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are 5 ways I've worked around my strange emotional cooking habits: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. <b>A Stocked Pantry: </b>There's a ton of dry pantry ingredients that have a decent shelf life - we tend to keep those stocked up so that if the desire for a specific dish strikes, I have the essentials. I always have multiple jars of red sauce (trader joes is our favorite), a variety of noodles, dry soup mixes, salad toppings (i.e. nuts, won-tons, seeds, dried fruit, ect), bread, tortillas, canned tomatoes and other mixing soups, spices, broths, ect. If we use something up for a meal, I add it back into my grocery list so I can have it for the next time it's needed on a whim! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. <b>(You guessed it) A Stocked Fridge:</b> The same goes for the fridge - I always have cooking essentials on hand - things like soy sauce & teriyaki sauce (easy to pair with frozen stir fry veggies), salad dressings, eggs, butter, heavy cream (for making a white cheese sauce), a variety of cheeses (we always have parmesan, gruyere, flagship white cheddar, brie, a mexican blend, and mozeralla on hand) and of course fruits & veggies (more on this in a minute). Things don't last as long in the fridge, but I keep an eye out on what needs to be used and will try to incorporate them into dinner if need-be. We keep the fridge organized by categories, so that it's easy to see what's "in stock" & what we need to buy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. <b>Buy Frozen</b>: We keep a ton of frozen items on hand. This ranges from organic frozen vegetables (perfect side dishes or thrown in to whatever you're making), frozen fruit if we're doing breakfast for dinner, and bulk meat. I buy organic ground turkey, bacon, organic chicken breast and organic pork chops in bulk from costco and use our vaccuum sealer to package them up in meal-ready pouches (does anyone else still use their vaccuum sealer?!). This ensures we always have a protein on hand and it makes last minute dinner decisions a bit easier. We also always have a frozen pizza on hand, because you never know when you'll need a frozen pizza (omg, who am i?) And P.S.A. - Beecher's Frozen Mac & Cheese is TO-DIE for. Costco sells it, it's delicious and so easy. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. <b>Go-To Options</b>: There are times where I feel like really diving into a recipe and will go big for dinner, and there are some nights where dinner is the LAST thing on my list. Collin travels often for work, the kids have things going on some evenings, and the busy-ness of life just makes dinner feel like a chore some nights. In this case, we have our go-to meals that everyone eats, that we're prepared for, and that are quick & easy. This varies for every family, obviously, but ours are spaghetti (I'll mix in a salad if we have fresh veggies & lettuce, otherwise we'll steam frozen broccoli or zucchini as a side), gourmet grilled cheese (french bread - which we keep in the freezer - bacon, grilled onion and gruyere cheese)<i>, </i>or eggs & ham with smoothies. These are staples around here that we eat at least twice a month. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. <b>Fresh Produce</b>: I tend to buy whatever produce is on sale at the grocery store (along with what necessities we need for dinners that we do have planned - i.e. if we're entertaining) - this is often times what is in season and keeps a good rotation so that we don't get sick of eating the same thing (roasted sweet potatoes - wore those out a couple months ago!) over & over. I try to keep a good variety in the fridge, stuff the kids can eat for breakfast & lunch but that's versatile enough to jump into dinner. We always have bananas, apples, at least one type of berries, a couple types of lettuce and onions and potatoes on hand. This gets us pretty far, but some of our favorites that we add in occasionally are artichokes, grapes, asian pears, asparagus, and brussels sprouts (I shred these up with olive oil, salt & pepper and the kids can't get enough). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As far as breakfast & lunch go - it's a pretty standard mix of whatever is in the pantry or fridge. We do lots of yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, sandwiches, wraps, fun lunch, and eggs. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Overall, it's about keeping your favorites on hand, making sure you have the essentials (and a few of the not so essentials) and getting creative come dinner time! It's not for everyone, but it works great for us! Hope this helps those of you who suck at meal planning as much as I do ;) </div>

I'm finally recovering from a <i>severe</i> Easter hangover and hoping that I've successfully hidden all the candy and treats that we absorbed over the weekend! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
We had a <i>jam-packed</i> weekend - Saturday was brunch with Collin's family - we made quiche, cinnamon rolls, the cheesiest potato casserole, ham, and fruit. I eyeballed everyone's mimosa's & gin-fizzes with deep deep envy and the kids were in sugar comas by noon. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
We had a birthday party on Saturday afternoon and then booked it straight to church - which, was a total nightmare. I mean, 3 exhausted kids, the littlest of whom thinks she'd like to crawl right back into the womb. Attached. At. The. Hip. SO, trying to sit in church with said kids was nothing short of a joke. Needless to say, we had to bail early and headed straight home for early bed time & raising those swollen feet! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
The kids woke up bright & early on Sunday, SO excited to see if the Easter Bunny had delivered on his promises. The footprints (made of flour) led everyone to their baskets. We ate chocolate croissants (Trader Joes - you HAVE to try!) and played with our new toys for awhile before we had to get ready for Nana's house and another full day. It was more brunch, more egg hunting, more baskets and so on. We headed home and all three kids were out for the night by 7 PM. Parenting <i>win.</i> </div>

We try to see our friends for play dates regularly and often times have places to be or errands to run, but at least once a week, we find ourselves at home for a few hours with nothing but time on the clock. I wanted to share some of my go-to strategies that I use to keep everyone happy & busy ... because whiny, bored, grumpy kids are enough to make me <i>roll out</i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg93czZ-qjY2KVxIOaWtJeFv0FiyXMCjxmQGBcp7opIv94uo2YtGJ1MZDfCp730azhTcaF4qHdMNnxqqEzqdoMz5c940Qqlda-_TdLPLw1DBXX4dh1LKH5JibZcriWF1AcPHt1cankzug8B/s1600/IMG_8076.GIF" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg93czZ-qjY2KVxIOaWtJeFv0FiyXMCjxmQGBcp7opIv94uo2YtGJ1MZDfCp730azhTcaF4qHdMNnxqqEzqdoMz5c940Qqlda-_TdLPLw1DBXX4dh1LKH5JibZcriWF1AcPHt1cankzug8B/s1600/IMG_8076.GIF" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Go Somewhere: I have mentioned this before, but I think it helps TREMENDOUSLY to get out of the house each morning. Even if it's just for 15 minutes to grab a coffee and they don't get out of the car (PTL for drive-thru!) Something about leaving and coming back resets everyone and when we return home, the kids jump straight into their toys and usually play longer this way. Don't underestimate the value of a car ride!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Stations: <i>Most</i> of the time, the kids (especially the older two) play well together, but there are times where they don't or they chose not to play together in general. We have lots of play areas around the house - puzzles & board games in the formal living room, trucks and books in the family room, a kitchen and play table upstairs in the loft and all the bigger toys are in the playroom. The kids also have toys in their rooms they can play with. This keeps everyone seperated if need-be and they entertain themselves much longer if they're not constantly battling for the same toy or worried about highway robbery. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Limited Access: I don't keep things like markers, playdoh or board games easily accessible, so when we pull those out, everyone tends to focus in and really absorb that activity. Bellamy doesn't have free reign on markers, so when those come out, she's all about it and will color for an hour or more. Baylor is less entertained by coloring, but I can pull out his <a href="http://amzn.to/2pnGZZE">mini sandbox with trucks </a>if I really need time (i.e. to prepare dinner or answer a couple emails) and he'll be sucked in for a good 30 minutes. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
4. Switch Them Out: We put toys away for periods of time - whether they're seasonal, they're no longer getting played with, or mom's sick of hearing them!, and when we rotate them back in, it's like Christmas morning. It's an easy way to clear some of the clutter, decide what might be best to donate, and to keep things fresh. Once in awhile the kids will ask what happened to a specific toy, but 90% of the time, they have no idea it's even missing. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. Set your expectations (& share them!): First off, I always remind myself that: they're kids! They're not going to be entertained by something longer than 15-30 minutes on average (give or take depending on age) and I'm always plotting my next move. What can we do next? What do I need to accomplish? How can I involve or engage them? OR How can I set them up to be entertained so they don't get whiny and I don't get frustrated if I need to accomplish something that isn't for little fingers? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If I need a few minutes, I always communicate that with them, so they have an understanding of why I'm not giving them my attention. I want them to be aware of my expectations so I will sometimes say "I need you to play in the playroom for 10 minutes so I can finish getting ready for the day" or "I'll be done with my computer in 5 minutes so think about what we can do together when I'm finished!" My goal is that there isn't a guessing game for them, they're not begging at my feet asking when I'm going to be done and that I have set those boundaries for myself. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A few other go-to strategies to keep everyone happy: I'll let them watch a show for 30 minutes (I find that if we go longer than that, everyone gets <i>very</i> cranky and antsy), baths are always an easy crowd-pleaser, build a fort or a "cozy cave" as we call it, we'll go outside & play or take a walk, and of course, if all else fails: feed them! ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We're looking forward to warmer, summer days where we can go to the pool or the lake, jump outside on the trampoline and eat watermelon in our wet swimsuits. </div>

Spring is supposed to be here by now, but in true fashion, we haven't got the memo up here in the PNW. Seattle is beautiful from June to December and the other half of the year is fairly painful. So, we're in the thick of that, but we're not letting it get us down. I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite <i>Spring Things</i> right now. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I try to keep fresh flowers in the house, especially when it's gloomy out. This <a href="https://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=617181108&pid=uid2649-33022843-10">vase</a> is the perfect accompaniment :) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really want to try <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/168744317269192050/">this recipe</a> - the perfect in between for spring & summer. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We did make <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/168744317269191593/">these cookies</a> last week and they were every bit as delicious as they look. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The kids all have these backpacks, and we just bought <a href="http://amzn.to/2nkNaw7">this one</a> for Winnie for an upcoming vacation. It's adorable, and perfectly pint-sized! Also, this <a href="https://www.zara.com/us/en/kids/baby-girl-%7C-3-months---4-years/jackets/gingham-check-jacket-c358107p4098524.html">rain jacket</a>. My size, please? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have one of these <a href="http://www.mybkr.com/shop/#/productdetail/348/SPIKED_LALA_500ML">bottles</a> and it's the only one I take to the gym...I'm thinking I probably need another one? These spikes say: "Stay away, don't talk to me, I'll cut you", don't you think?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
One of my <a href="https://www.buzzfeed.com/andyneuenschwander/23-co-workers-who-took-passive-aggressive-to-new-he?utm_term=.re68M1MRG#.qaxb5R54N">favorite things</a> I've seen on the internet this week :)<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://legoeheritage.com/">These maternity clothes</a> are giving me hope - now if only those extra 20 lbs would just fit right in?<br />
<br />
And finally, one of my <a href="http://www.garvinandco.com/">best girls</a> just opened up a <a href="http://garvinandcoprintshop.bigcartel.com/products">print shop</a> and you MUST check it out! Everything she touches is magic and this is no exception! <br />
<br />
We're doing some house projects this weekend and a heavy dose of relaxing. I can't even <i>tell you</i> how excited I am.<br />

Easter is quickly approaching and the bunny is heavily relying on Amazon Prime this year (and who am I kidding... every other year!) Everyone has different philosophies for Easter, and ours tends to be rather random. Some of my favorite ideas I've heard are a summer themed basket (swimsuits, sandals, towels, ect), a basket of new books, and even an Arts & Crafts themed basket. I'm far too indecisiveness and not nearly enough of a Type A for those sorts of things, so my kids get all the random things I've been wanting to buy them since Christmas ;) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidKsLfFm8LdY-BZ6-4md7jwp-4oDx2By5BmvaG3fonFLRTOf1JOMaMYnnRXl3B_6F-wxrW2WCksobRcWs3GByuvUISWIWBCuDKMuoxAze-xb0aXfXqQ8dqFPozqys31T-bBYYnFNs3pqht/s1600/EASTER.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidKsLfFm8LdY-BZ6-4md7jwp-4oDx2By5BmvaG3fonFLRTOf1JOMaMYnnRXl3B_6F-wxrW2WCksobRcWs3GByuvUISWIWBCuDKMuoxAze-xb0aXfXqQ8dqFPozqys31T-bBYYnFNs3pqht/s1600/EASTER.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://amzn.to/2oDkUdd">BUNNY BUS</a> // <a href="http://amzn.to/2nZibaS">TOO MANY CARROTS</a> // <a href="http://amzn.to/2oEGzBi">PANCAKE BOOK</a> // <a href="https://shop.herschelsupply.com/collections/kids/products/outfield-youth-cap-youth-natural-deep-lichen-green">BASEBALL CAP</a> // <a href="https://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=630030220&pid=uid2649-33022843-10">SWIMSUIT COVERUP</a> // <a href="http://amzn.to/2o4Sw25">BLOCKS</a> // <a href="http://www.lushusa.com/bath/bubble-bars/bunch-of-carrots/06619.html">CARROT BUBBLE BATH </a>// <a href="http://amzn.to/2ncgXvz">YARD TOOLS</a> // <a href="https://www.zara.com/us/en/kids/girl-%7C-4-14-years/shoes/view-all/plimsolls-with-bow-c719024p4065803.html">DENIM SNEAKERS</a> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A few new books, some spring accessories and of course a few toys to keep everyone entertained :) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last year, we did these<a href="http://henandco.blogspot.com/2016/03/easter-baskets.html"> amazing baskets</a>, and I think we'll probably re-use them this year! And if you're looking for a fun Easter activity for the kids, we also <a href="http://henandco.blogspot.com/2016/03/magic-jellybeans-lollipop-forest.html">did these last year </a>and it was a TOTAL hit. I'm talking surprised shrieks and jumping up & down - the whole nine yards! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm still working on Easter outfits - while I'd love to do springy dresses and sweet Mary Janes, the weather here is calling for sweaters and rainboots... so I'm improvising. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope you're having a week full of spring things! We are back to school & routines after spring break and it's as rough as it sounds :) However, I did power down some cookie dough on the way to school drop off this morning, so there's always a silver lining.</div>

Life as a mom can sometimes feel like groundhogs day, and other times has you yearning for ground hogs day. We've gotten into a pretty solid routine <i>(for now)</i> so I thought I'd share a little day-in-the-life for us. If this makes you snore, I totally get it. You have my full permission to move right along ;) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikpByTQth9Cgn4xyGHpqKRlYWIgtHwr4Hh25ZHdGdL2QWwWIU0XnhXpGVmg6J0V0SptYVluamwC5tmzElkVuUXr2KenG4rUMXkZzhWQtPO9P6ZiN8hyphenhyphentq1gVdsW3XSuGw31BetszCByxQg/s1600/vsco-photo-4-2.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikpByTQth9Cgn4xyGHpqKRlYWIgtHwr4Hh25ZHdGdL2QWwWIU0XnhXpGVmg6J0V0SptYVluamwC5tmzElkVuUXr2KenG4rUMXkZzhWQtPO9P6ZiN8hyphenhyphentq1gVdsW3XSuGw31BetszCByxQg/s1600/vsco-photo-4-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The kids typically wake up between 7 & 7:30. Some mornings, I'll get up at 5:30 and work/get ready before they're up, and other mornings, I rely on them as my alarm clock ;) It just depends on how late we were in bed the night before. Collin is typically out of the house early so we usually don't see him more than one or two mornings a week. The kids play upstairs for a bit and sometimes will watch a cartoon while we all wake up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiESNFq85y322JWTn-XaAnK02Cd-KFvSqKChyYhzGfj4NxZkqxD1Tfxo11PPwCqgFHWDZN-zUuyu5OaslbYcJZUTw0UzgTTY6nQ8EqxWqZxAAEkZJCrCO5bkgEbZ09NwD_qIvoZjEFL-jHo/s1600/vsco-photo-1-3.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiESNFq85y322JWTn-XaAnK02Cd-KFvSqKChyYhzGfj4NxZkqxD1Tfxo11PPwCqgFHWDZN-zUuyu5OaslbYcJZUTw0UzgTTY6nQ8EqxWqZxAAEkZJCrCO5bkgEbZ09NwD_qIvoZjEFL-jHo/s1600/vsco-photo-1-3.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Usually by 8:00 we head downstairs and start breakfast. They're pretty opinionated about the breakfast menu, so we range from smoothies to cereal, oatmeal, fruit & pastries, pancakes or french toast and at least once a week, we bail on breakfast at home and do a quick Starbucks run (obv my favorite option). I don't obsess about the breakfast mess, as I will tackle whatever remains while the kids are eating lunch. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once breakfast is wrapped up, we head upstairs and spend the next 30-40 minutes trying to get ready for the day. This is typically the most frantic part of our day, and I've tried so many ways to avoid the mad rush, but it almost never fails. Baylor has preschool two mornings a week, and on those days, we have to be pulling out of the driveway by 8:40. Otherwise, we're usually out of the house around 9 to run errands, do ballet class, play at the park or meet friends for a play date. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-KsNH68PFejUzaTH9cuI-W0_Bsaic_Dz3y4tjGUfLEgkcIgLOnrsUi0NPCEMOhquKATv0pKh5UQFAo9BIUOkK8EbRtE0n6eRrSyvBDPAVNC1U1XOvuErhWeqtGWlZOGqi_FBreZUPUh3c/s1600/vsco-photo-3-2.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-KsNH68PFejUzaTH9cuI-W0_Bsaic_Dz3y4tjGUfLEgkcIgLOnrsUi0NPCEMOhquKATv0pKh5UQFAo9BIUOkK8EbRtE0n6eRrSyvBDPAVNC1U1XOvuErhWeqtGWlZOGqi_FBreZUPUh3c/s1600/vsco-photo-3-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We do stay home some days and have a jammie day, but I find that the kids and I are all much happier if we just leave the house - even if it's only for 30 minutes. And here's what I've found with kids: it doesn't have to be some big magnificent outing. My kids are entertained with Starbucks & the grocery store. I used to put so much pressure on myself to entertain them, but the reality is, they just want to be together! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We're usually back home between by 12:00 or 12:15. The kids eat lunch as soon as we get home and I make sure the kitchen is picked up, the dishwasher is unloaded & ready for dinner time dishes, and will try to cram in a quick snack/lunch. Everyone is in their beds for naps by 12:45 - something I'm totally hardcore about. The kids all still nap for the most part - Baylor will have a "rest period" one or two days a week, but otherwise still naps pretty consistently (he'll be 5 in June). He's always been my best sleeper and will usually nap until 3:30 or 4. The girls are up between 3 & 3:30. I almost always throw in a load of laundry before nap time. After that, I'm pedal to the medal: working on orders, projects or emails. I literally don't leave my desk until someone wakes up. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIaFkUvT3u48HPQciHSmktWml_aFoRFDGcipUUv9E4VDW3SoBVlYXMR6QLe_0xN3L7GyS7DZzXOare0ArrI5UcrZooQWkYjLDLFRSgBB6kY6Awa9SuBPAez5YgQ8jMYGnbf1MNqGxaKkU_/s1600/vsco-photo-2-3.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIaFkUvT3u48HPQciHSmktWml_aFoRFDGcipUUv9E4VDW3SoBVlYXMR6QLe_0xN3L7GyS7DZzXOare0ArrI5UcrZooQWkYjLDLFRSgBB6kY6Awa9SuBPAez5YgQ8jMYGnbf1MNqGxaKkU_/s1600/vsco-photo-2-3.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once someone is awake (Bellamy is <i>almost</i> always first), I shut down my work for the afternoon and head downstairs to get snacks. The kids watch one show while they eat a snack & wake up and then we turn the tv off & play. I try to pick up the house, get things organized and switch laundry. They'll play outside if it's nice, otherwise, I try to fill this time with an art project, a craft, or playdoh - something that will keep there attention for awhile. They'll usually wander upstairs and play in the playroom for a bit or irritate each other as much as they can until someone snaps :) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm working on getting dinner going at this point and if all goes accordingly, Collin usually walks in the door right at my breaking point. Ha! He travels quite a bit for work so on the nights he's not home, I try to keep dinners quick & simple. If he is home, he'll entertain the kids for 15-20 minutes while I get dinner finished. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We usually sit down for dinner around 5:30 and eat together as a family. This is something that's really important to us and we do <i>every </i>night. We turn on some music, visit with each other & the kids and make a conscious effort to have uninterrupted family time. Even when Collin's out of town, the kids and I will sit together. Some <i>always</i> spills their water, Winnie is always a disaster by the time dinner's over, but it's <i>always</i> worth the effort. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhreQ9jd3dOVZfQzV7Xwig4_IhHUzBq7EddUFrExVYHZpgb9W7-5AQ24wuJTFQuMgvkSBGNGak0AR7-G721urwVOUF5UdJnJOq_02ka66XQ6Lf_3qO2W2rYCtzxxyMHKNslOYN3vaM0vev6/s1600/vsco-photo-2-1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhreQ9jd3dOVZfQzV7Xwig4_IhHUzBq7EddUFrExVYHZpgb9W7-5AQ24wuJTFQuMgvkSBGNGak0AR7-G721urwVOUF5UdJnJOq_02ka66XQ6Lf_3qO2W2rYCtzxxyMHKNslOYN3vaM0vev6/s1600/vsco-photo-2-1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After dinner, one of us does dishes/cleans up while the other does bath time with the kids. The kids <i>love</i> to shower so we let them all run wild in our big shower, and if I'm doing baths/shower, I use this time to fold/put away laundry, clean the bathroom or put random toys away that have wandered from their homes :) Once everyone is clean and there's a satisfying amount of water splashed onto the bathroom floor, we do jammies and quiet time. Sometimes, we'll watch a movie, other times the kids will play quietly or read books. Winnie goes down between 7 & 7:30 and the older kids are typically in their beds by 8:15. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bedtime varies between total chaos and absolute peace - some nights are much easier than others :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once the kids are down, Collin and I will sit down together and catch up for at least 15 minutes. Then we'll turn on a show, work, or just go to bed (because...<i>exhaustion).</i> If Collin's out of town, I usually work for an hour, sometimes I'll take a nice hot shower without interruption and other times, I'll park myself on the sofa with a pint of ice cream and bury myself in the Real Housewives. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will say this: the days feel long & sometimes I want to hide in the closet, but the little moments in between the chaos are worth it all. Being a mom has always been my passion and I really feel blessed. </div>

It's MONDAY and it's Spring Break, which means we are <i>doing absolutely nothing</i>. I wish I was jumping on a plane with the family for a tropical vacation, but instead, I'm sitting here in my pajamas, I've eaten approximately 3 donuts this morning alone, and my house looks like we got ransacked. The kids are also still in their pajamas, 2 out of 3 are napping and I'm wrestling with the idea of working or napping. Virtually the same as vacation, right? #onemaitaiplease</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
We have been very busy lately getting bedrooms moved, working on a few house projects, doing some spring cleaning and perfecting life with three, just before #4 comes along and throws us for a loop :) <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHAO50NZvjXcvICTovj5I0m2sMijP4KeQ2rI0ZVDeyj8_YL4OWjJwSEZFjPRXd9XCFtvX6J8PrjAMZg_lQ6lzJWc7oh52Tc8JNK16_6hTJ09UV4K64BRVmBXKPomrh1_G-da9Lzz1Bue_/s1600/vsco-photo-2-1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHAO50NZvjXcvICTovj5I0m2sMijP4KeQ2rI0ZVDeyj8_YL4OWjJwSEZFjPRXd9XCFtvX6J8PrjAMZg_lQ6lzJWc7oh52Tc8JNK16_6hTJ09UV4K64BRVmBXKPomrh1_G-da9Lzz1Bue_/s1600/vsco-photo-2-1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We took a break over the weekend and headed to the mountains for a birthday celebration with family. The kids played with cousins, we (as in the kids, collin, and my calfs) hot-tubbed in the snow, and we even snuck in a nap & a movie! <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLLf8Z6EzGPDUnZYubBK-pQ3m4QSeVwqJoMgHrpxBrPRZcxJhhkk1IlI8gCL0bezQ2wT4RXg0wkFdkvpGSEtZoUQMSW-IBhFAGgD9uu3A1DO5yrUAZW-X24WgQbDSUH7yRkBzcC2baFiqD/s1600/vsco-photo-4-1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLLf8Z6EzGPDUnZYubBK-pQ3m4QSeVwqJoMgHrpxBrPRZcxJhhkk1IlI8gCL0bezQ2wT4RXg0wkFdkvpGSEtZoUQMSW-IBhFAGgD9uu3A1DO5yrUAZW-X24WgQbDSUH7yRkBzcC2baFiqD/s1600/vsco-photo-4-1.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwm0arC5EBJCYVSgu_SgbO2czrso287NKZ9R8RyDUFxp2xlwxOJy09EoWRG0shs4h4wt-nTddY8YuVulycloyDyGQZL8YhPjRMSKUk3QTBqO1Jzn-thHPyc4QxyqFThRNGuDDZgBag_bsT/s1600/vsco-photo-3-1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwm0arC5EBJCYVSgu_SgbO2czrso287NKZ9R8RyDUFxp2xlwxOJy09EoWRG0shs4h4wt-nTddY8YuVulycloyDyGQZL8YhPjRMSKUk3QTBqO1Jzn-thHPyc4QxyqFThRNGuDDZgBag_bsT/s1600/vsco-photo-3-1.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYzG9eAmkF2iG3gD40cb6JmFgAfmCM68iwtXWIBsj0bmtTx5y5mI5QbQ9cRvAhRTcC2mwrm3XxG66ovmjqVjySEBKByjUQci9Qlx9qEcFjeVUBFZnISEkldCOPhBodIKQaCP9fVyNR0efo/s1600/vsco-photo-1-1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYzG9eAmkF2iG3gD40cb6JmFgAfmCM68iwtXWIBsj0bmtTx5y5mI5QbQ9cRvAhRTcC2mwrm3XxG66ovmjqVjySEBKByjUQci9Qlx9qEcFjeVUBFZnISEkldCOPhBodIKQaCP9fVyNR0efo/s1600/vsco-photo-1-1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Winnie has really become a little person in the past few weeks and we all love to watch her personality develop. She's <i>quite</i> sassy and her opinion is strong. She's not going to be limited by her size or her age and she is NOT going to be taken advantage of by the older kids. This means no cheap toy trades, no stealing her snacks and absolutely nobody will be allowed to keep her from participating in big-kid activities. FOMO at it's finest. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMxbY3ZZoz5V0Fu5uU7pq_LGk6JbgBGfV6VnCpJiJ1y-FwdVYCWnMQFm7JGGVYsqaWmsbxkyeed3LdiAVwZDyKFtrvJvl14-WEYQ8s6C-CsLQOOTF5w505DWX_voq1UKlSCuiQ37FKrJ7p/s1600/vsco-photo-1-2.jpg" /> I'm bound & determined to find something exciting to do this week, in honor of spring break, so if you have any ideas, send them my way. So far, all I have in mind is ice cream ... #pregnant</div>

It's really easy as a mom to get into a rut of feeling under-appreciated ... even when you <i>know</i> you are. "He has <i>no</i> idea how much I really do" or "they'll never understand what my life really looks like" are thoughts we all likely have, regardless of how many kids you have, whether you work at home, stay at home or work outside the house (or a combination of it all!).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think we as moms can encourage each other, fill each other's buckets (<a href="http://amzn.to/2mQ8VnT">if you don't have this book for your kids, it's a MUST</a>) and love on each other most effectively, as we an relate to each other's wins & losses, and fill in for each other where others might not know to. Hint: It doesn't take much! It's sort of like Christmas shopping .... whenever I'm out picking out gifts, I always think about all the amazing gifts I could give to someone like myself, HA! But I'm the only person I don't buy for. #irony</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilz989pCLiDnfS3COom4je5NjL0gc1P2nXOQPdGApygzlXZdHUladJE27Ucfft3w1so3KP6MmPgTeXcuJbTZP0gsFWL1OqZo3db3e8sP9_7ireJBnV1saWc33-wyhIsnOiRK6WbRouNR7N/s1600/valentines-day-bouquet-order-onmline-sf-delivery-gardenista.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilz989pCLiDnfS3COom4je5NjL0gc1P2nXOQPdGApygzlXZdHUladJE27Ucfft3w1so3KP6MmPgTeXcuJbTZP0gsFWL1OqZo3db3e8sP9_7ireJBnV1saWc33-wyhIsnOiRK6WbRouNR7N/s1600/valentines-day-bouquet-order-onmline-sf-delivery-gardenista.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"> </span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's a few ideas how we, as moms, can lift each other up... cause we know BEST what us mamas need!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Send your mama friends a bouquet of flowers on their baby's first birthday ... this little gesture goes a long way and just gives mamas a little encouragament ... a "you did it!". (Flowers are also appreciated on the most normal of days!) <a href="https://farmgirlflowers.com/">Farm Girl Flowers</a> are our favorites!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Deliver coffee to a mama stuck at home. We've all had those moments where we're trapped in the house, whether it's nap time, a brand new baby, sick babes or just can't gather the circus. If you find yourself near a coffee shop, help a sista out and bring her some coffee (bonus for Donuts!!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Make double if you're doing a crock pot dinner or something similar that's easy to duplicate. Pack it up Pioneer Woman style and drop that baby off at someones front door. I promise you, it won't get wasted. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. Invite, Invite, Invite! I'm always trying to find something to do with the kids (especially when the weather is gross) and we're almost <i>always</i> open to invitations to doing things! We love to invite friends over, meet at parks or coffee shops or even adventure together to museums or new places. Going somewhere is easier with a group, feels less intimidating sometimes, and let's face it ... 4 year olds can only be so interesting. A mama needs to vent sometimes!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. An encouraging word goes a really long way. A simple text to let someone know they're an amazing mom, their kids are so sweet or that they're doing a great job balancing it all really goes a long way. It doesn't cost a dime to be nice to someone, and I've never met someone who doesn't love an encouraging compliment. Win-win, my friends. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's often said that it's "take a village" to raise kids, but let's be honest, it also takes a village to keep us moms afloat. I'd be nothing if not for my friends & family, who love me, regardless of how my kids act, regardless of what I'm wearing (or not wearing) and ultimately, regardless of how much I can suck as a friend sometimes. Be encouraged, we all drop the ball, we all have hard days and our kids <i>all</i> act like lunatics. If you're at a place where you can pass along a little joy & encourage a mama, DO IT. Not only will you brighten her day, you'll brighten your own! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
XO </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXJ0jI6oLsdTPcPv_Tk3yAhZE2Ymekb_a7z5NYBpVBYY41Z3DsaMzdtrFktVIq0MSnAztlWdoh_3WFNI9ek7rMA5LW_K2fJkaiaco6oeRtmfImqq7tm90j-r1TW0hsIsPz7IF8m7u-cENP/s1600/henandco-pregnancyupdate.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXJ0jI6oLsdTPcPv_Tk3yAhZE2Ymekb_a7z5NYBpVBYY41Z3DsaMzdtrFktVIq0MSnAztlWdoh_3WFNI9ek7rMA5LW_K2fJkaiaco6oeRtmfImqq7tm90j-r1TW0hsIsPz7IF8m7u-cENP/s1600/henandco-pregnancyupdate.jpg" /></a><br />
It's hard to believe I'm over halfway done with this pregnancy. I genuinely felt like I counted every week with my other pregnancies and really couldn't have had them pass quickly enough. This one is just so different - it's been the <i>easiest</i> pregnancy ever, I sometimes even forget I'm pregnant?! The first 20 weeks have absolutely dashed by and I have had little to no side effects. I consider myself incredibly lucky for this, considering it's my 4th and a laid-up, sick, pregnant mama is really just not an option at the juncture. We're <i>very</i> excited for another baby, but are in no hurry, whatsoever. We're enjoying everyone's ages, spending this time building up some exciting plans and hoping that things will <i>slow down</i> just a little bit before #4. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd do the traditional "bump-date" but my answers would be so lame - I have no idea how much weight I've gained, I have <i>zero</i> cravings and everything else is operating at a strangely normal pace. They say there's always a <i>calm </i>before the storm, so I'm not counting myself out, but so far, I'm feeling pretty grateful for smooth sailing! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We're not finding out gender this time (we've only found out for Winnie) and are super excited about it, albeit my impatience at times. The convenience of knowing is really wonderful, but the surprise and the excitement of not knowing is too much to pass up. It's definitely not for everyone and we are, by nature, not "planners". Knowing the gender with Winnie was almost a stressor for me, as I felt I had no excuse not to be 100% prepared. This time around, I'll pack a coming home outfit for each gender and the rest will be figured out as soon as the baby arrives! We're still working on a boy name, but are pretty certain about our girl name. The kids have their guesses, I have mine, Collin is our resident "non-guesser" and we're all just super excited for another addition to the family. Bellamy has prepared seventeen beds for the "second baby" and Baylor is obsessed with my belly. As for Winnie, she's just concerned that she's not going to miss out on a meal, baby or no baby. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Things are moving quickly and we just can't wait to see that sweet baby face! There will be no shortage of kisses and snuggles, and everyone is pretty pumped for that! </div>
