We did a little treat/dessert bar on our buffet counter, as I anticipated having guests for longer than normal. It was perfect as we just snacked away from it all night. (after our taco bar, of course!) We covered the counters with good ol' wrapping paper, a super easy, impactful way to spice up your kitchen!

Sissy (as we affectionally call her) turned ONE last week and we threw a little soiree this weekend to celebrate. What started as a Winter Wonderland birthday bash, quickly turned in to a "Seahawks RAGER" with a whole lot of "hurry up and watch the one year old eat cake so we can un-pause the game, take fireball shots, and scream at the top of our lungs at the TV", led by none other than my dear sweet husband. Don't get me wrong...I really do love football and the seahawks, but the timing of their play off game was just a bit inconvenient...(read: right in the middle of our damn party) #YOUMADBRO? All that to say, we improvised. It was a blast, lots of people, a million rowdy kids running around, and incredibly loud #regrettingthatsurroundsoundfromsanta ... Bellamy wasn't necessarily the star of the party, but i suppose that's just a little dose of reality. She was celebrated one way or another and for that, we're so incredibly grateful. go hawks. (if only emoticons worked in blog posts ... this one would be littered with them).
