11 Months of Winnie Wilde

Monday, October 17, 2016

Winnie is SO close to being one and it's totally freaking me out. I seriously wake up every day and can't believe how big she's gotten, how much she can do, and how much she's turning into a little toddler before my eyes.

She's walking all over, and getting more comfortable every day. She started chasing the big kids today while walking instead of crawling, and we basically threw a parade, cause it felt like such a big-girl moment!

She loves food and will make sure you know that she wants whatever you have. Her favorites are apples & yogurt. She's not sleeping through the night, which I really could care less about at this point - it doesn't bother me, she's only up once. Sleep is just really low on my priority list at this point in my life, so I pick my battles ;)

Winnie adores Baylor & Bellamy (ahem, she tolerates Bella, stage 5 clinger) and loses her shit if I leave her sight. Her She loves her blankie, hates the vacuum,  and has presumably eaten 7 legos this month alone. Girlfriend eats everything

We're getting ready to plan her a first birthday bash and she's celebrating her last "first" this month -Halloween!

We can't resist her intense eyebrows, those chubby thighs, and her hot temper that makes her who she really is... wild

8 Months of Winnie Wilde

Sunday, July 24, 2016

8 months has always been most most favorite pre-one year milestone with the kids (aside from those first few days home from the hospital - because that's presumably what heaven is like). Winnie is already 8 months old and has been SO much fun lately. She's pulling herself up on everything (and has the war wounds to show for it, crawling like something's on fire, and has a few new additions in the teeth department, which is great 90% of the time ;)

She laughs, loves to play chase, pulls your hair, and scrunches her nose like a piggy - how I don't die every time I see that cuteness, is unknown to me. Eating is definitely her favorite activity and she powers down 1 or 2 food pouches at every meal. If she's sitting next to Bellamy, she gets a much bigger cut of dinner than I probably even realize. She LOVES to see her brother & sister (despite risking her life in their hands, regularly), and only says one word: "dada". I mean honestly, I have no hard feelings about it ............

monthly onesies via

A few of her favorite things:
These teethers are the perfect size, and easily the favorite around here. I've mentioned these diapers before, but have to add them to the list, because there's nothing quite as great. She's really become attached to her blankie and her "bun-bun" as we affectionately call it. And these shorts are hands-down my favorite thing to put her in for the dog-days of summer.

Happy 8 months to you, Winners! We love you and can't imagine breakfasts without your chubby cheeks full of applesauce, nap time without your warm snuggs, or any time without that beaming smile, that little dimple in your left cheek or those big open mouth kisses that melt us all to pieces!

Winnie Wilde - 6 Months Old!

Monday, May 23, 2016

Well, it's officially been 6 months since I gave birth to Winnie, which means she practically seems old enough to go to college and time rears it's ugly head, once again. I mean, how do we get to this place, every. single. time?!

Our sweet Winnie girl is 20 lbs (!), in the 95th percentile for height and weight, and is as busy as they come. She rolls herself to whatever she needs, loves to watch her big brother & sister (albeit feeling like she's constantly in the lion's den) and is incredibly enthusiastic about food of any variety (if you have any doubts, check out her thigh rolls). And those dimples!!!!

She's eating baby food, yogurt, bananas, and anything else she can get her hands on (including, but not limited to: barbie doll hair, lightning mcqueen, and her personal favorite: Mom's iPhone).  We have done baby-led weening with all of the kids, so we also offer her whatever we're eating at the table in very small bites, as long as she can eat it without choking. She's still nursing, which is going great, with the exception of Winnie treating me as a swim up bar and coming in for a quick drink, and taking off. How obnoxious!! ;)

We're in the middle of sleep training (a mix of cry-it-out and weaning the night feeds) and so far, so good. Baylor's found his way to her room at 3:30 am a few times, in an effort to shush her. :) Thanks, but no thanks, sweet boy! :)

Winnie Wilde: We love you to the moon & back
- you light up our life and keep every day exciting!
Now, please, just GTFTS for more than 3 hours. ;)

Happy Monday, friends!

3 Months Update + Favorites

Monday, February 22, 2016

Winnie is 3 months already which is totally blowing my mind. I honestly feel like we just brought her home yesterday and here she is, acting like a bouncy little baby instead of a meek baby bird (I know, so poetic).

MONTHLY ONESIES
She's smiling, has giggled on the rare occasion and LOVES to watch B&B run amok around the house. She sleeps from 7-7 with a wakeup around 3 am and is still nursing exclusively. As far as naps go, she'll nap from about 9-11:30 and then again from 1-4. She squeezes in another quite shut-eye around 5:30 for 15 minutes or so. She's such an easy baby (praise Jesus!) and B&B love her to bits.

Since she's not old enough to tell you what she's currently loving, I'll do it for her ;)

1.  Solly Baby Wrap: the perfect throw-in-your-bag piece that is perfect as a wrap, a scarf, or a nursing cover.

2. Woombie: This is an awesome alternative to the velcro swaddles if you have a houdini like we do - these zip & allow for a little movement but are just the right tightness! And they zip, so nobody's escaping.

3. Shusher: Because our kids think we live in a barn, the noise is constant & LOUD. So we do Winnie a little favor by amping up the white noise. This little machine does the job perfectly & on-the-go.

4. Baby Bjorn Bouncer: Despite it's un-assuming look, this has been my number 1 baby item with all three kids. It's petite (folds flat!), super effective and portable. I'd buy it 10 times over again. Definitely worth the price. Winnie sits in this while we eat dinner and we bounce it with our foot while she smiles & coos away.

5. Child Hoods: I'm a sucker for cozy. And these clothes are the epitome. All 3 of the kids have a set and they're easily one of our most worn items. The quality & fit is spot on - another worthy investment. Also, a baby in a hoodie is enough to make me wilt.

6. Aiden & Anais Dream Blanket in Bamboo: This blanket is ridiculous, you guys. Not only does it look amazing, it's incredibly soft & cozy yet breathable. It somehow always ends up on our bed though ;)

Happy Monday - Go get yourself a donut.

Winnie Wilde - Two Months Old!

Monday, January 25, 2016

OK.... Did you guys watch the Bachelor last night?! HOLY HELL. We're Team Lauren B. over here, but all I have to say is Olivia. I'll pass on the cake, only ice cream for me. #dead
ANYWAYS...

Our sweet Winnie girl is already two months old if you can believe that! She's talking, smiling and kicking her legs. Her newest tricks include coo-ing, swinging her arms uncontrollably, and busting out of her swaddle (ugh). She loves to snuggle, burrow her head, and take warm baths. She's already wearing 3-6 month clothes, hates the pacifier and loves car rides (probably because the two tornadoes in the back seat can't reach her). She's definitely not sleeping through the night, but goes right back to sleep after a quick snack once or twice in the middle of the night. We're pretty much smitten by her sweet little smile, her big dimple on her left cheek and that sweet little heart birth mark on her forehead when she cries. Safe to say we adore her.

Happy Monday!
