MAMA STYLE - GRAPHIC TEES

Wednesday, May 11, 2016

Graphic Tees have been a "thing" since I can remember "things".
Being a lover of design & type, I have always rocked them and think they're a gift to anyone looking for an easy outfit. Here's the deal, all you need to mix with these tops is some destroyed denim and a baseball cap. Shoes are optional and rarely required around here, but if I were to give you a recommendation, I'd say, some basic Vans or Adidas. (NOT running shoes, because that crosses every line in my book - one of my biggest pet peeves in life is running shoes with jeans... for the LOVE of anything holy, please just don't). #isurelyoffendedsomeone

Mama Style

Wednesday, February 24, 2016

Let's be honest... my desire to wear sweats & be comfortable often times trumps that little devil on my shoulder that says "you should get dressed today". While lulu tights & nike sweats are all the rage, I actually do feel better when I get actually get dressed in "real clothes". It feels like an accomplishment (wait to judge me until you have three kids under the age of 4, mk?) and motivates me to go out & do something (the ol' "all dressed up & nowhere to go" problem). BUT, they have to be comfortable, practical (no heels to the grocery store) and nursing friendly ;) Overalls are super cute but I can't get undressed every time Winnie wants to eat.
Here's a few of my favorite looks that I'm using as my spring inspiration!

Cozy crew necks, denim shorts, black pants & tennis shoes. Throw in a wide brim hat for good measure (these are incredibly convenient on bad hair days and make you appear far more stylish than you actually are). Also, black, gray and white make up 95% of my closet, but throwing in a little color for spring is one of my goals. There's something about these pink converse that I really love.

My favorite places to shop right now are Aritzia, Zara, & Madewell - all great quality and perfect for finding on-trend items!

All these looks & more are on my 'STYLE' pinterest board!

Thanksgiving Outfits

Sunday, November 9, 2014

Thanksgiving is really not that far away (wasn't it just 4th of July!?!) and we are working hard over here to avoid the seduction of christmas. Our christmas thanksgiving tree is up, but I'm holding off on the ornaments & tinsel until Nov. 28th (let's be honest....that's just lip service. Those puppies are going up this week...HEY SANTA!)

In any case, I've been working on finding some Thanskgiving outfits for the kids, as it always proves to be a great time for family pics and this is our first holiday season with two kids  - so naturally, they have to coordinate. #stagemom

little picks for fall

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

Hope y'all had a fabulous labor day weekend! We spent time at home, tightening up the ship :) Our garage is finally dialed in and can fit two cars like a champ, which is way more exciting than it sounds. I went to Anthropologie and spent entirely too much money on "house accents" (guys, just trying to make the house a home ... wink) and even got some time to myself (thanks, mom!) to do a few errands sans kids (which might as well be an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii, because, ahhh! relaxation!) Now that September is here, I can justify busting out all the pumpkins, wreaths and fall candles. While summer is fun, free and has a little sexy appeal, fall is where my heart is. Sex appeal only goes so far, amiright? Fall is where my love languages are met and where I feel like I can be myself --- big sweats, warm comfort food, and pumpkin patches galore!

I've been picking up some fall clothes for the kids over the last few weeks in anticipation of packing up the shorts & tanks and wanted to share my favorite picks over the next few weeks. Zara is always one of my staples and they did not disappoint with their fall clothes this year. How cute are these little duds!?
