Out of the Mouth of Babes

Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Today I'm sharing my personal version of kids say (& do) the darnedest things... because sometimes I wonder if this is really my life...

// Baylor's been skipping his nap more recently, which is fine, as long as he has a "rest period" in his room. Yesterday, after he was quietly in his room for just over an hour, I went to check on him. As I opened the door, I noticed his pants, laying tangled on the floor, and him, naked from waste down, playing with his trucks. Me: "Baylor, what happened to your pants?" Him: "I had to pee!" Instantly assuming worst case, I asked him where he might of had an accident on the floor (which never happens, but kids, they always get you where you least expect it). He ever-so-nonchalantly handed me a ziploc bag FULL of pee. OMG. Me: "WHAT?! Where did you get this? Did you spill?!" Him: "No mom, I just dumped out some of my trucks ... you let me pee in a cup in the van at Chick-fil-a, what's the difference?" touche, buddy.

// While driving to pick up Baylor from preschool, I noticed Winnie's face covered in a white "substance" (in retrospect, I guess I should be thankful it wasn't brown) ... I immediately knew to ask the culprit what Winnie was eating to which she replied "wipstick". Winnie had eaten half of an EOS lip balm and proceeded to start gagging in the backseat and scratching her tongue. She survived, however the chap stick wasn't as fortunate.

// I told Baylor he needs to lay down in his bed for a nap, and he stood next to the bed, crossed his arms, and with a very disgruntled look, said "SO, how is this going to work? You have a tv, a bath tub and a sink in your room and I got nuffing. What am I supposed to do in here?" Poor guy hasn't quite figured out the pecking order around here ;)

// Bellamy told Baylor this morning that she is "THE QUEEN" and that he must blow bubbles in her face when she walks by ... he looked at her like she was drunk and then smacked her on the ass when she walked by in her plastic heels and gaudy tutu. Again, pecking order.

Things we've shoved in our nose this month: gum, a LEGO guy's arm (this one took a bit of a surgeon's hand to remove) and peas. WHY with the peas?

It's a wonderful life :)

5 Things to Say instead of "You have your hands full!"

Wednesday, October 26, 2016

If you would have asked me 4 years ago how I'd feel if someone told me: "my, you have your hands full!", I probably would have shrugged my shoulders and said "whatev!" BUT, after hearing it every time I go in public and often times repeatedly, I loathe when people say it. Some people say it kindly, some, not so much.

SO, every time someone says a comment about my kids or my family that is affirming, kind, or socially acceptable, I take note. Here's 5 remarks that I've heard, that are suitable replacements when you might think "man, she has her hands full!"

1. It gets easier!
This one is always encouraging, and always gives me the extra little oomph I need, knowing that it won't be as challenging forever.

2. Your family is beautiful!
Because who doesn't like to hear that their kids are cute. Also, cuteness makes bad behavior in public a bit more pallet-able.

3. Look at all your helpers!
Glass-half-full approach always does wonders and often times changes my perspective, even just for a bit.

4. You're doing a great job!
Because as a mom, it's really easy to feel like you suck. Especially when your kids are throwing a shit-fit in the toy isle at Target.

5. Nothing,
The ol' "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!" Sometimes, the last thing I want to hear is the peanut gallery. Trust me, there's plenty of nuts in my shopping cart.

SO, next time you think about saying this to someone, try one of these phrases instead. Or, if you're in my boat, where you hear this all the time, brush ya shoulders off and tell yourself something kind.  Because we're all doing our best, better than we think, and the kids are alright ;)

Age Gaps

Friday, September 30, 2016

More often than not, when we're out and about with the kids, we get asked about their age gaps. They're all little, crazy and unpredictable, and something tells me people can sense that ;)

Age gaps are one of those "double-edged swords" for lack of a better term. Our kids are all under two years apart... Baylor & Bellamy are 18 months apart (I got pregnant when Baylor was only 9 months old!) and Bellamy & Winnie are 21 months apart.

There's a lot of pros & cons to having kids close together, and vis-a-versa with spreading them out. If you're debating age gaps for your family, or are just curious how it works for us...

The PROS to small age gaps (less than two years):
1. They know nothing else. There's no jealousy, and no "before we had the baby" because they don't remember life before siblings. (ps...siblings are THE BEST!)
2. They play really well together. Because their ages are so similar, they're into similar toys & activities so it makes entertaining them much simpler.
3. We're all doing it as a family. It feels like everyone is in a similar phase at the same time. We're not waking babies to go to football practice or doing homework in the evenings. It feels like we're growing as a family, which is really unifying and kind of exciting.
4. It's super fun! We really feel like we're in the thick of it, like "these are the days" and when we chose to just soak it up, it's really a blast. The kids keep us on our toes and constantly have us laughing. You never really know what to expect!

The CONS to small age gaps:
1.  Nobody is self-sufficient, I'm tying three (six) shoes, helping three go potty and buckling three into their carseats. It's A LOT of work - physically & mentally
2. The baby years go by in a flash. By the time we're done having kids, it'll have only been about 6 years (if all goes accordingly ;). I know I'll miss their precious baby months as they get older and I do see the appeal of spreading it out and really soaking each one up.
3. Sleep - count it as a total loss and hope to sleep in 10 years. WTF is sleep?
4. As the one delivering & nursing all these babies, my body is exhausted! I have been nursing or pregnant for 5 years straight!

So spill...what are your favorite parts about your age gaps? What's the most difficult part?

The Story of a Name

Wednesday, July 13, 2016

We often get asked how we chose our kids names, are they family names, do they mean anything, or what are they short for (an assumptive close). Let me first say this: We didn't share ANY of our names before our kids were born - neither of us wanted input from parents, friends or strangers, nor did we want to hear about your uncle's best friends daughter who had that name and was a total bitch. Let's face it, associations are real and we all have em'.
So keep them to yourself, mk?

BAYLOR BOONE
We knew off the bat that we didn't want to use family names, as both of us have huge families and it was too difficult to try & make it even on both sides.  We heard the name BAYLOR originally as a last name and fell in love with it as a first name. We love college football, so that was an added BONUS. As far as the middle name, Collin's family is notorious for nicknames, and his has always been Boone or Boo-head (he used to carry a "boo"-burp cloth around as his blanky). We thought it was the perfect middle name for our first boy, an ode to his Daddy without being too obvious.
FUN FACT
we didn't know if Baylor was going to be a boy or girl, but had he been a girl, he would have been "Summer" ... seems so strange to think about having a Summer now :)

BELLAMY RUE
We first heard Bellamy on an old BRAVO show "Nine by Design" about the Novogratz family. They were amazing, creative and had a slu of adorable kids, one of who's name was Bellamy. We floated a few other names for her, but ultimately stuck with Bellamy. It means Beautiful Friend. Her middle name was purely chosen because it's french and sounds great with Bellamy. Ps... we also didn't know what we were having when Bellamy was born, but we didn't have an official boy name picked out. Guess it was meant to be! ;)
FUN FACT
Bellamy actually had a different middle name when she was born (Love), as we weren't really sure what it was going to be. We both liked Rue, but Collin was worried that people would think we named her after Rue from the Hunger Games. Crisis averted, we changed her name before we left for the hospital. Bellamy Rue, it was.

WINNIE WILDE
Winnie Cooper is as badass as they come, which was our initial inspiration for her name. We also watch Jimmy Fallon every night in bed and loved that he named his daughter Winnie. It's fun, quirky and spirited, which just so happens to fit the tiny one perfectly. We wanted something to mix well with the other kids names, which is why we chose Wilde - it worked well with Baylor Boone, and added a bit of edge to her name. We knew well ahead of time the gender of this baby, so her name had been solidified long before she was born.
FUN FACT
Her name was almost Gwyneth, but we'd call her Winnie for short. Then we thought - why bother with formalities, let's just go for it!

Would love to hear your names and why you chose them ...
always such an interesting conversation topic!

Easter Baskets

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

Every year, we pick up different "easter baskets" (see here & here) for the kids, because I just can't resist the chance to buy another basket. It's just one of my favorite things. Well this year, I discovered these amazing canvas bins by Pehr and I knew immediately that we had to have them for our Easter baskets. Our friends at Pehr so generously sent a few our way and I'm totally obsessed with them.

I printed these tags with the kids names and think they'll be perfect little easter keepsakes for their baby books :) The stickers are from Peek last year.

I typically find one or two bigger items to put in baskets and the rest is little tokens & of course candy. Baylor is getting a baseball glove & a book, but has a legit gum obsession so his eggs have gum balls in them - which will easily be his favorite part! I found this adorable BlaBla bunny for Bellamy, and for Winnie, it's books & diapers. Because what more could a baby need? (#boobs) Also, notice the tooth brushes... that's an ode to my ultra-clean husband who moonlights as a dentist. ;)

What's in your Easter baskets? I still have time to add a few things, so if you have any great suggestions, share them in the comments. XO

EASTER OUTFITS

Tuesday, March 22, 2016

There's something about Easter that feels so special. We go to church to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, we spend time with family and take a million photos of our kids. Growing up, we always got new Easter dresses and it's a tradition I will keep with my own. It feels like a right of passage.

In a different life, I'd have already bought all of these outfits for the kids. Instead, I'm scrambling because I'm an organizational disaster half  most of the the time. So let's just call this post:
"What my Kids would Wear for Easter if I had my Sh*t Together"

Everything is from Zara (ALL the heart eyes, ALL the time) with the exception of the big juicy red bow and those sweet little baby shoes

Magic Jellybeans + A Lollipop Forest

Wednesday, March 16, 2016

You guys! Easter is two weeks away. We try to focus most of our Easter traditions on the resurrection of Jesus and the celebration that He is risen, but I sometimes can't resist the light-hearted, festive traditions that make holidays extra fun with kids. The easter bunny is a little creepy for me and I refuse to make my kids sit on his lap (thanks for those traumatic memories, mom!), but I love a good easter basket and especially love the magic jelly beans. For those of you that haven't heard of this, the kids get to plant special "magic jellybeans" in the garden just before Easter. They can plant directly into the dirt or a planter, whatever you have! When they wake up on easter morning, the jellybeans will have grown (hint: that's your job - just place any kind of tall lollipop where the jelly beans were "planted") into a lollipop forest! I would have shit my pants as a kid if my mom did this (in an excited, mind-blown fashion. In fact, Winnie will probably do the same thing - that's her latest trick these days).

There's really nothing like watching your kids experience "magic" and I honestly can't wait to see how the kids react this year. Baylor loves festive traditions, and Bellamy likes whatever Baylor does, so this will definitely be a crowd pleaser ;)

I've made this packaging available to download (click here) - you just need to print, cut, fold in half, and staple to a clear cello bag full of jelly beans! (you can buy cellophane bags on amazon or at target! The file is 5" wide, so aim for a 4.5" cello bag)

Happy Planting!

the POTTY BASKET!

Wednesday, March 2, 2016

The time has come to potty train Bellamy. We've dipped our toes here & there with much success (after the initial fear of falling in the toilet subsided!) and It's really just on me to bite the bullet. You see, potty training requires that I stay home for at least 3 full days and at this point, home is a lot more work than going places. The house looks like a war zone after 3 hours of playing and my patience levels, well, they could use some work at that point.
In any case, we potty trained Baylor a bit differently (read more about that, here) and as for sis, she's less motivated by progress and more of the instant gratification type. They're personalities are very different, so like everything in parenting, you adapt depending on the kid.

I put together a little basket full of "potty prizes" for Bellamy, and each time she uses the potty (actually goes, not just sits on it), she gets to pick out a prize from the basket! Once she gets the hang of this, we'll move to the sticker chart like we did for Baylor, but for now, she needs a greater reward to get things moving. (why does everything I say in this post feel like a pun?)

I'll include the download below, so all you have to do is print, cut it out, hole punch the corners and tie to your basket! Fill with treats, toys, or whatever drives your little one.

Not pictured is a potty prize basket for parents: wine, chocolate, a mild form of cocaine (because coffee is not cutting it), rubber gloves, and bleach (because this shit is MESSY #nopunintended).

Potty Training, you S.O.B.

Thursday, August 6, 2015

Let's just start with this: potty training is a real bitch. Baylor is now fully potty trained, but the process was not easy. #1 came much easier than #2, but neither was a breeze. Everyone has their own method and there's about 30,000 articles online if you google "potty train toddler", all of which say something different. Totes easy, right? Nope. SO... I'll give you the quick & dirty (potty training is not quick, but def. dirty) on our approach, how it worked for us and where we are now. plus, a free download that helped us along the way.

We started potty training Baylor shortly after he had turned two. In hindsight, that was a bit early for him, but he had shown a solid interest and I tend to be over-motivated and probably a bit of a 'bite off more than you can chew' type personality. SO, in any case... we went for it.

We did the "pants off-dance off" approach - basically, Baylor went cold turkey on diapers during the day (with the exception of naps & bedtime) and we didn't leave the house for a solid week. He didn't wear pants, and i took him to the bathroom every 10-20 minutes until he'd go (this is also when he discovered his boy parts - LAWD have mercy). I pumped him full of water and bribed with treats until I was blue in the face.

It eventually worked, but the challenges were definitely present. Here's the thing, I could get him to sit on the toilet all I wanted, but getting him to stay there to actually do his business was a whole different story. I've done more toddler entertaining on the bathroom floor than I care to admit. Thank GOODNESS that we have a housecleaner who mops bathroom floors on the regular. He slowly started getting the hang of it, and would go when I took him as he needed to. We then moved to the phase where he'd tell me he had to go after he leaked in his pants just a little every time. #areyakiddingme?! It was tough to leave the house, as  I always felt like B was going to wet himself in public (which obv. happened a handful of times), and well, you just deal. We always packed extra clothes and I had to set the expectation that I may have to ditch my whole cart if we have an accident. You learn to roll with the punches very quickly. Like when your two year old pees on the carpet at the frame store. Or drops trou in the middle of the playground, cause he "has ta go pee pee!!" As with all things, Baylor eventually mastered peeing in the toilet and I couldn't tell you the last time he had an accident. #fistpump

As far as pooping goes, well, that was a whole different ball game. Long story short, Baylor refused to poop in the toilet and would hold it until bedtime when he'd wear a diaper. Once I weened him off the bedtime & nap time diapers (a huge win!), we sort of hit a dead end. I refused to put a diaper on him just to poop and he would resist going in the toilet. Eventually, one of us would cave and it just became a constant battle. So one pediatrician's appointment and target trip later, the little guy was downing Miralax like it was his job. Miralax pretty much just makes it so that once they're on the toilet, they can't hold it in and voila. It's harmless & actually somewhat common, according to 30,000 online articles ;) This pretty much was a miracle and 2 weeks later, he was a regular! (mom victories!)

One of my major takeaways was that treats & bribery really do help through the process. But, as always, too much of a good thing is a bad thing. So instead of giving Baylor a major "prize" every time he went, we did a 3 step process. I'd always celebrate first victories, just to set his expectation, and from there, we had a system. Each time they go potty, they get a small treat (a dum dum lollipop, a few m&ms or baylor's personal favorite: gum). Also, they get to put a sticker on their potty chart. Once they get three stickers in a row, they get a bigger prize - i.e. a trip to the toy store or a special privilege. This helped to keep Baylor motivated longer than a hot second. Cause toddler time is WACK. We did this system for 1-2 weeks each time a new potty skill was learned, and it worked like a charm. Stickers become very exciting and Baylor LOVED looking at his Potty Chart on the wall!

If you're in the thick of potty training, just know that it will pass (literally). Also... coffee, wine & ice cream - treat yourself! Every little one is different and by NO means is this the best or only way to potty train, it's simply what worked for us. We didn't have any major regressions, and the only intervention required was Miralax, which is totally harmless & was truly a huge help.

Download our potty chart, use some washi tape and stick it on the fridge, the cupboard or somewhere easy to see and accessible for your little one! Good Luck!

Because life is boring when nothing changes // Bellamy's Bedroom

Wednesday, July 8, 2015

Well, this is the THIRD post about Bellamy's nursery/room (v1 & v2). Let's just be honest, I'm a compulsive furniture mover & re-decorator. It's how I cope when life feels unorganized and stressful and it allows me to be creative & productive in the same breath. A month ago or so, I got some wind in my shorts (is that even a thing?) and decided that Sis's room was looking a little too dull for my taste. Hindsight - it wasn't dull, I was just having a moment. Either way, I took off all the wall art, moved some furniture, destroyed our guest room (her days are numbered anyways) and voila, sis had a room update! I've accumulated enough shit decor at this point that I really didn't need to buy much, but instead was able to shop the house. I switched out the crib for her original crib and the only thing I purchased for the room was the magenta curtains. Dreamy, right?!!?

I love the way this turned out and feel like it's the right balance of chic yet sweet. It'll definitely stay this way for at least 6 months ;)

And a BABY makes THREE!

Monday, May 11, 2015

Well friends, it's offish... we're having another BABY. Granny asked us if we know why we keep having babies... and well... we're just that crazy I guess. Some might think 3, under 3, on purpose is sort of cray cray, but we kind of live for it. We love the loud, chaotic and abundant household that it creates and have the most full hearts when we go to bed each night. (side note: that is if we make it to bed before falling asleep on the couch or in someone else's bed... Collin acts like Baylor's bed has a magnetic force, when in reality, he just can't resist the snuggles) SO yes... Baby #3 is coming in November and we couldn't be more excited!

Baylor has been a bit confused on the whole process and keeps asking when another Bellamy is coming :) He also seems the think the "baby potato" (as he affectionally calls it) will be coming out of my mouth. I'll leave that one alone for now. #lordhavemercy

We haven't found out gender for both of our kids thus far, so this time, we're going to swing things the other way and find out! May as well try it both ways, plus, nobody has time to decorate a nursery with three kids, we've done gender neutral nurseries TWICE so I feel like I've exhausted my options, and so,  I'm going to try to crank this thing out as soon as we know gender.

On another note... we bought a MINIVAN this weekend and I couldn't be more pumped. I had a beautiful Audi SUV and you'd think trading that baby in for a MV (i know, right?!) would be a bit depressing, but these sliding doors have me SO PUMPED! Here's the deal: It's not what you drive, but how you drive it. I'll keep you updated as we find a name for our new family member (and our unborn child, but that's second priority)!

Hope your Monday is excellent... ours is starting off right with a warm fire, candles lit, and a little Frozen on the TV. Cozy days are my favorite days.

HEN & CO SS15 LINE

We launched our Spring/Summer line today and are SO excited about it. Lots of love, labor and late nights went in to this collection and I feel so proud to finally launch it! Check it out, HERE

Happy Monday!

Spring Things

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

Have you guys been to Target lately?! Their easter stuff is great this year (that little porcelain bunny with the gold ears! cayooote!) but I especially love that they're getting a little bit craftier on us. I found this paper garland in the home section and instantly knew I had the perfect home for it, dangling over a chalkboard in our entry way (which I found at Home Goods a bazillion years ago).

Fun, right?! For $16 dollars! #winning

We (as in I, because baking with kids is never as fun as it sounds #realtalk) baked a cake this week and it has served as festive and delicious dessert (or breakfast if you're the mom and make the rules) after every meal and my kids have learned in just two short days that cake is served after every meal. Bellamy finishes her lunch (tunafish sandwiches yesterday) and points and whines at the cake stand until she is served. I mean, I can't blame a girl, but easy tiger! mama is going to start hiding the cake. what kind you ask? the only kind worth making ... funfetti. #foreverandalways #tilldeathdousparty #seewhatididthere

cake stand via Target at Valentine's Day

On another note... I'm on the hunt for some cute Easter outfits for the littles. Last Easter was the first official time we dressed Bellamy up and man, the memories overfloweth. She was just such a little peanut. Cue mom tears... what happened to my small children who sat for photos?

I've got plans to go shopping later in the week and will be sure to report my findings ... my threenager is a giant and my one year old has a giant attitude. #99problemsbutabitchaintone #hitme

Happy Hump Day! My apologies for the gross amount of hashtags used in this post. I hope you'll return. If you can't handle it, feel free to curse me out in the comments.

Thanksgiving Outfits

Sunday, November 9, 2014

Thanksgiving is really not that far away (wasn't it just 4th of July!?!) and we are working hard over here to avoid the seduction of christmas. Our christmas thanksgiving tree is up, but I'm holding off on the ornaments & tinsel until Nov. 28th (let's be honest....that's just lip service. Those puppies are going up this week...HEY SANTA!)

In any case, I've been working on finding some Thanskgiving outfits for the kids, as it always proves to be a great time for family pics and this is our first holiday season with two kids  - so naturally, they have to coordinate. #stagemom

little picks for fall

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

Hope y'all had a fabulous labor day weekend! We spent time at home, tightening up the ship :) Our garage is finally dialed in and can fit two cars like a champ, which is way more exciting than it sounds. I went to Anthropologie and spent entirely too much money on "house accents" (guys, just trying to make the house a home ... wink) and even got some time to myself (thanks, mom!) to do a few errands sans kids (which might as well be an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii, because, ahhh! relaxation!) Now that September is here, I can justify busting out all the pumpkins, wreaths and fall candles. While summer is fun, free and has a little sexy appeal, fall is where my heart is. Sex appeal only goes so far, amiright? Fall is where my love languages are met and where I feel like I can be myself --- big sweats, warm comfort food, and pumpkin patches galore!

I've been picking up some fall clothes for the kids over the last few weeks in anticipation of packing up the shorts & tanks and wanted to share my favorite picks over the next few weeks. Zara is always one of my staples and they did not disappoint with their fall clothes this year. How cute are these little duds!?

life with two.

Monday, February 24, 2014

the days are crazy around here. we barely get out of bed in the morning before someone has spilled their water and every toy in every toy basket has been awakened by the beast. I honestly can't say I would trade these days for better, but man oh man are the days long! Bellamy is 7 weeks now and Baylor, 20 months. He absolutely LOVES his baby sister and takes every opportunity to kiss her little forehead with the sweetest pucker you've ever seen. Melts my heart into a big doughy mess. Two is twice the fun, twice the work and twice the love.

Nursery Inspiration

Monday, October 21, 2013

With only 12 weeks left before the newest member of the family makes their debut, there's lots to be done - all in the midst of the holiday season. It's going to be here before we know it. We aren't finding out the gender (more on that here), so designing a nursery is a bit more of a job than it might be had we found out. Baylor's nursery is pretty rustic & ecclectic, so I wanted to take this one a different direction. Mix it up a bit, you smell me?

I'm going for a black & white color scheme with pops of unexpected color and pattern. Just as I planned to do with Baylor's room, I'll add small accents of boy or girl once the baby has arrived. We've painted the room and purchased the crib, but I'm still on the hunt for a dresser/changing table. Here's a little inspiration board I whipped up to guide my purchases (yeah, right).

1. JENNY LIND CRIB 2. METAL BUNTING 3. TRIANGLE CRIB SHEET 4. POM POM BUNTING (D.I.Y - TUTORIAL WILL BE COMING SOON!) 5. PILLOWS 6. LARGE BILLBOARD LETTER (FOUND) 6. PORPOISE PAINT BY BEHR

HUMP day

Wednesday, October 9, 2013

Happy HUMP day. #mikemikemikemikemike (if you have no clue what I'm talking about, brighten up your wednesday with this) A few things to catch you up on ... (this feels strangely like homeroom class in the morning... didn't they call this "housekeeping"? Clearly they had no idea what real housekeeping was like.) anyways... We're doing a little giveaway on Little Baby Garvin this week, so if you haven't already been there, go check it out & enter to win one of our trick or treat onesies or tees!! Jessica is the sweetest and so stinking creative! A definite read for the mama's out there! And if you're visiting from her blog, welcome & I hope you stick around like white on rice!

ALSO...we now offer ALL (yes, all!) of our designs on kid's tees! (they're not all listed, but if you see something you love, let me know and I can set up a custom listing!) It's really exciting to branch into this 'market' if you will, and I can't wait to start designing more shirts that are aimed toward the toddler gang. Because really, they're SO stinking cute, they run around like little drunk people, which is adorbs, AND they say a few words which is worth it's weight in gold. SO, toddlerville...WHERE YOU AT?! throw your pacis in the air like you just don't care (you're old enough to get rid of that thing anyways, right?!) and kick up your wobbly little legs, cause it's about to go down! (good LORD, if I wasn't pregnant, I would have sworn someone slipped me a little liquor in my evening tea. My husband is far too innocent & loving of a man to do that to me ... even when I'm not with child.)

I hope your wednesday is as good as your Saturday was, because we all know Saturday's are the favorite child of the week. ps...if your parents told you they didn't have a favorite, you just weren't it. We're going to be running errands and hopefully hitting up the park if the sky stops dumping buckets of water (highly unlikely considering we live in Seattle). Collin had knee surgery last week and Baylor & I have both been sick with icky colds and runny noses all week, so we're all just trying to recover! I've been in major baby nesting mode all of a sudden and have major plans to crank out this nursery! We're getting the room painted tomorrow so I'll be sure to share a few updates along the way! I loved doing Baylor's nursery and still really enjoy being in there, so I'm hoping to have the same results on this one!

And now... I leave you with this gem to sum up our week so far!  ... love these two boys!
